A charming vintage villa, well located, excellently maintained, decked with small items which speak of a discerning eye for detail. 7 rooms, each distinct in decor and styling. A fairly comprehensive menu spanning, Continental, Chinese & Indian spread across veg & non veg options. Option to take the meals in the lounge instead of the restuarant adds to convenience & charm Efficient service, with a special shout out for the Manager of the property, Mr Vicky. Made our stay memorable by arranging a dinner with the comfort and warmth of a Sigdi, arranging for packed breakfast to take along with us.

The place was over hyped for the cost I paid. The sense of hospitality was missing throughout and it felt like we were some unwanted guests. Nobody was there at the reception at the time of checkin and checkout causing us inconvenience. It was a heritage property, but completely renovated with modern decor and the sense of heritage was absent. Food was very average too. In nutshell, it was a complete waste of money for me.

familyI recently stayed at Hotel Elgin Hall, and while the architecture is undoubtedly impressive, reflecting a beautiful classical-era design with a distinct British colonial feel, my experience was far from perfect. The biggest disappointment was that the hotel is not kid-friendly. In a recent incident, my one-year-old accidentally broke a biscuit jar that seemed to be worth around ₹100, but I was charged nearly five times its actual value. This felt unreasonable and left a bad impression. Additionally, the staff lacked professionalism. Breakfast, which should have been available earlier, was not ready until 9:30 AM, forcing me to wait unnecessarily. A hotel of this standard should ensure timely service, especially for guests who have planned schedules. While the ambiance and heritage charm of the hotel are commendable, the lack of hospitality and rigid policies made my stay less enjoyable. I would not recommend this place for families traveling with young children.

The stay was very pleasant. All the services were good too. Fantastic place to stay. I would recommend coming again. Food is also good. The only problem is that food is not available before 8 am.

coupleMy wife and i had a wonderful stay. The food a la carte and breakfast was superb. The team mr vicky and mr amit to name a few planned a special candle light dinner on request for my anniversary. The staff is very courteous an helpful. The property is clean and quiet and the bathrooms are impressive. It is a 10min walk from the town mall road so location is good. All in all i had a superb stay. I would highly recommend to anyone planning a few days in dalhousie. Service, food, stay everything was satisfactory )
