We booked a homestay at a different location through MakeMyTrip, where the price was clearly mentioned. But when we arrived, we were given a different and very poor-quality room.
It seemed like the owner assumed more people would be coming because it's the tourist season, so he increased the price — without updating it on MakeMyTrip or informing us in advance.
When we asked for the room we paid for, he gave us a ground-floor room with no Wi-Fi, no hot water, and only 2 beds, even though we had paid for a 4-bed room.
I'm giving only 1 star — just because he at least gave us 2 beds. Very disappointing experience and poor management from the owner.
