We stayed at Ananta Spa & Resorts, Ajabgarh for 3 nights. The property is undoubtedly beautiful, very photogenic, with spacious villas (we stayed in a Bamboo Villa which was duplex-style, clean, and kids really enjoyed the space). The overall design of the resort, greenery, and ambience is impressive.
However, the service experience did not match the claimed 5-star standard. On arrival, there was no welcome drink or proper reception, just a Rajasthani musician at the gate. After traveling 4 hours from Noida, we went for lunch but were told the wait time would be 45 minutes due to rush, and even getting a menu took effort. In-room dining service was disappointing as calls often went unanswered.
Food taste was very good, like home-cooked, and the dinner buffet (veg & non-veg) on the first night was excellent. High tea was served only on one day, not consistently across our stay. Food quality is good but portion size is small compared to the high price – it’s better to take meals in a package.
The resort has a swimming pool, gym, camel rides (paid), and e-cycles (₹1000/hour), but lacks a proper indoor game zone. Adding cultural programs, games like tambola, or indoor activities would make evenings more lively.
✅ Positives: Beautiful property, photogenic spots, tasty food, spacious villas, good housekeeping.
❌ Needs Improvement: Guest welcome, faster service in restaurant, better in-room dining, more inclusive activities, value for money on food.
👉 Overall, a good stay with family in a lovely resort, but with some improvements in service and amenities, it could truly live up to its 5-star claim.
