Located at Upper Pelling just at entrance to Pelling. The rooms are spacious, clean and we'll maintained. The food was delicious and was served in time. The rooms have the view of the snow capped Kanchezonga. Overall it is a complete value for money.

Not a good experience at all, Service quality is very bad, I booked it from MMT, at the time of booking what ever the facility they are going to provide but while check in the hotel they are totally ingnore the same, eg. 1: In common amenities they mention to provide heater but after Chechen in they told me it's chargeable. But MMT solved this issue. 2: Minarel water bottle is chargeable from second day. 3: TV and WiFi was not working.

Situated in West Sikkim its one of the most popular tourist destinations. Himalayan Hideaway is located at a distance of 107 km from
The hotel was below average. There was no water in toilets. We had a tough time completing our morning chores. Food is served with a good range of dishes to choose. However, not so tasty. And freshness is to be doubted. I would not recommend this hotel. If you are looking for a 3 star property, this is not your type.

Overall the hotel is very good with good location. Just open the windows and seen the Kanchanjangha hill nearest to us. Even the hotel location is nearest to helipad. If I go to Upper Pelling will highly recommend to Hotel Shimvo again.

My hotel booking was at "White Orchid" but the manager provided "The Dzongri Retreat". No room service. You have to take your food from White Orchid. We were there for three days but they did not clean the room & change the bed sheet. No telephone or intercom. In case of any requirement we have to climb down & request them. Servants did not know how to be behave with guests! 24 hours hot water is a dream in this hotel. Location is far below from upper Pelling but they addressed as upper Pelling. For finding the hotel our driver needed 20 minutes. After sunset it is impossible to reach the hotel from the petrol pump/SBI Atm. You must carry a good torch to reach the hotel safely. The only good thing is that you can see Kanchenjunga clearly from the hotel.

Though it was just a single day trip it was a great experience. The Pelling Resort was above my expectations. Room was clean with beautiful decoration, great location. It's a great place to go and relax for a couple of days. Just a simple tip from me carry enough cash in hand as you cannot trust ATMs in Pelling. Not a single complaint with the hotel. Keep up the good work. Will definitely suggest it to all my friends and family.

The hotel is at upper Pelling near old helipad. One can see mesmerising Kanchenjunga from your hotel room. The hotel staff are very good in behaviour. They make you feel very comfortable. One thing lacking was there was no heater in room.

Pelling, Gangtok is the best place for leisure in a romantic natural scene and the hotel made our day fantastic. The view of kanchanjunga from the room and outside the hotel is breathtaking and worth a visit. The service is also excellent and the place has all the amenities. The feel of Royal stay is here only as the hotel was earlier a palace.

The resort in itself is enough for that place. You do not need to go anywhere else since its spread in a big area and you can enjoy watching the Kanchenjunga range right from your room window. The service and food is excellent. The owner of the resort is also a film maker turned monk which is the reason you will see pictures of lots of celebrities like Richard Gere, Tabu, Danny staying in this resort. It was the best experience of our North East trip.

We stayed for 2nights. Overall experience is good enough. Some pros and cons are like, Pros : Staff behaviour was excellent. The owner Biswajit is a helpful person, he arranged car for site scenes. Especially for Bangali people food was awesome. Room was nice and the Kanchanjanga view from windows was awesome. Cons : There was only one charging port in the room. WiFi was not available for the most of the time.

Location was good. Bed was comfortable. Room was cosy. A common spacious balcony was there to enjoy the view in case your room has none. The hotel owner and other staff were very well behaved and highly supportive in whatever was needed. Food was economical and quality was wonderful. We had booked two rooms at -1 floor, which had only 4 rooms and a lot of space was used for a common hall and balcony.
