Our stay at the y hf was excellent in all levels. The only downside was reaching the property after leaving rinchenpong market - suggest the host to put up some signs leading to the property on the last mile stretch. Else - we had a great experience, with their hospitality, food and well maintained facilities.

Serenity and tranquility are synonymous to yangsan heritage homestay. Hospitality, food, ambiance, hygiene, location everything was on point. I can wait to go back again. Peaceful and serene stay, surrounded by nature.

It was a wonderful experience staying there. A heritage porperty (wooden bungalows) nestled amid small woods in a remote village (1. 5-2km from rinchenpong, overlooking mt. Kanchedzonga. Perfect for the solo travellers who are looking for a peaceful time, away from all the hustle and bustle of daily life. The host, mr. Thendup bhatia is an amazing person who prefers to take the guests around his property himself, giving a brief overview about the locality and the culture. Food prepared by manisha is of excellent quality. All the other staff namely chhopel, jolsha and others were also very courteous and helpful. Activities: keep a day for local hiking trips to various monasteries, a view point, a dakbungalow and poison lake. The walk through the hilly jungle trails are the highlight of the trip. A guide, which can be arranged by thendup ji, is recommended. A walk to the nearby (steep road) view point during the sunset is also something one can cherish. Thendup ji may accompany, if he is free. Carry books if you love to read, you will get the perfect ambiance for it - a wooden armchair, placed in a wooden portico with the himalayan range partly visible. One may find almost all kinds of basic amenities there, as much as can be expected at a remote location. Some intermittent issues with the mobile network, however mostly it works, so you will always be connected to the outerworld.

Quiet location. Nice food and service, a bit pricey but good place to relax for min 2-3 nights if you enjoy nature.

The cottages were beautiful, made of wood having all modern amenities like heaters, geysers, wi-fi, they were cozy and really spacious. The location was remote, beautiful, green, serene and even offered a view of the kitchen unit from the view point. Taxi property owner and team were very accommodating and extremely polite and courteous. They kept all our requests with regards to food, adult help and even wheelchair assistance. The team also had delightful kids who were really jovial and sweet.
