The Carlton

The Carlton Hotel is a very good hotel located in the center of town. I stayed there with my family and kids in a non-smoking room. Their hospitality was excellent, and both breakfast and dinner were provided as complimentary — the food was really good. The kids’ play area was nice, and in the evenings, the hotel organized games for all the guests, which was a great idea and made our stay even more enjoyable. A couple of things could be improved, though. The deluxe room size felt a bit small for the price, and parking is marked as “Parking at owner’s risk,” which I didn’t expect from such a premium hotel. Even though they have security staff, seeing that notice was disappointing. Overall, it’s a great place to stay with family, offering good food and fun activities, but a bit on the expensive side.

Property was awesome. Location is superbly placed right at lake. Back door opens right in front of boat club from where you can rent boats. Property itself is very well maintained and has good clubhouse with indoor games, gym and spa. You can enjoy with your family and kids. We also liked the food and staffs were very courteous as well.

I have picked a super deluxe room but room which MakeMyTrip given is deluxe room only . And then upgraded with a super deluxe with an addition cost of 11000 thousand. I am incurred huge loses.

The Carlton Kodaikanal is a luxurious property having excellent location, prompt & courteous services, delicious and variety of food, warmth in welcoming guests and a very good guest service by all the staff members

Food quality,staff n location of the property is excellent however amenities n services needs to be improved.Taps were choked also muddy water flowed in bath tub.

Location is good, with close proximity to the lake and boating. View is excellent. The main problem is that their restaurant has absolutely nothing in south indian cuisine for lunch. Being in South India, we would have respected to see some Sambhar, etc in the ala carte menu but no. It's all paneer tikka and stuff like that. Disappointed with the food options

Property was very well maintained & as it was located at the lake, with a very beautiful view. There were lots of amenities with some basic games like airhockey which was chargeable. Food & service was excellent.

hotel carlton offers a luxurious experience. we enjoyed a splendid stay at the hotel. the ambiance is fantastic, as the hotel is situated right by the lake, providing breathtaking views. we could relax in the hotel lawns and lounge, enjoying a beautiful view of the lake and its activities, such as boating. the lounge is spacious, featuring excellent seating arrangements and lighting. it includes a bar and restaurant. the lounge, lawns, restaurant, and rooms are all maintained neatly and hygienically. the food (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian) in the restaurant is delicious. both buffet and à la carte options are available, with a wide variety of dishes in the buffet, showcasing the skill of the chefs. the hotel also offers a spa, a children's play area, a table tennis room, and an indoor play area. our room had a lovely lake view and was spacious, featuring elegant light fittings. a heater was provided, and the bathroom was clean, equipped with a bathtub, hairdryer, and other sanitary fittings. toiletries such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soaps, and shampoo were also provided. we were very impressed with the courteous and polite service from the staff. everyone at the front desk, restaurant, room service, housekeeping, and gardening was attentive and respectful. the restaurant staff, in particular, were especially considerate of every guest. with all these arrangements and the staff's courtesy, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to visit the hotel again. we commend the management for their sincere efforts and wish them and all the staff members the best of luck.

Our stay at the carlton was one of the best experiences of our lives. The resort is at the shore of the lake and has one of the most mesmerizing views. The rooms are spacious and clean. The service is very quick and staff is very polite and generous. The restaurant of this resort is a great dineout place. The staff is very helpful in serving the food even tho there is a buffet. The manager mr. Venkatesh is a very helpful fellow. He gets you whatever you want and also some off menu dishes. The overall experience was marvelous
