We travelled as family to Kodaikanal for a short trip. The property is in the heart of Kodai near bus terminus, shopping area and a short distance from major tourist attractions such as Bryan Park, Coakers Walk and Kodai lake. The hotel is good, rooms are spacious and toilet was clean with amenities. We had dinner and breakfast at Aroma restaurant of Hamuse Hotel; the food was tasty and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly but service quality must improve. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Best regards Nathaniel

The USP of this hotel is the food which was excellent. Complimentary breakfast was very good quality. Location is at the city centre and very much accessible to market area. Amenities are average. Services can be improved. The staffs are well behaved but not very prompt in response. This is overall a 3 star property not a 4 star. All though my experience was overall good.

Had a good time at the Hamuse Hotel. Breakfast was very good with a lot of variety. Location is excellent with attractions such as cockers walk, bryant park, kodaikanal lake, shopping street. But it did not have a heater and it was cold due to weather.

Good stay and good ambience. location of the hotel is also very nice. Hygiene was excellent. The complementary buffet breakfast was not up to the expectation, thats the only one area of improvement.

We had a pleasant and comfortable stay during our time in Kodaikanal. Pros: • The food was excellent, especially the breakfast spread — fresh, tasty, and frequently refilled. • Rooms were well-maintained, spacious, and cozy. • Staff service was warm and responsive, making us feel welcome throughout. Areas for Improvement: • Wi-Fi was not available, even after requesting it multiple times. This was a bit inconvenient, especially for families needing internet access. • Bedsheets and pillow covers had visible stains — fresh linen would have elevated the experience further. 🙏 Final Note: We are genuinely grateful for the courteous service, especially for accommodating our last-minute date changes due to travel delays. A special thank-you to the receptionist from Idukki (unfortunately, we didn’t catch his name) — his helpful and understanding attitude made our check-in and stay much smoother. The points mentioned above are simply suggestions for improvement. Overall, we truly appreciate the hospitality and look forward to visiting again.

Checked was planned @11am But I checked in at 8pm Staff service or behavior was not at all welcoming, not even smiling Even then room situation is No dental kits , shower caps or any accessories kept Phone provided in room for room sevices and reception calls Is not working Have seen multiple complaints from other customers regarding washroom door mats and other stuffs

Regarding the room: dental kits, shower caps and similar amenities should have been placed before your arrival—our housekeeping checklist has been updated and supervisors will now verify these during room release. We’ve also checked and replaced the in-room phone set and are testing neighbouring rooms to ensure all lines work reliably. Bath mats and other washroom items are now part of a double-check before every check-in, with a mid-stay audit for longer stays. We’d like to make this right for you.
