Offbeat location in a built up residential area, 2 villas are situated cramped next to each other and the windows offer no good views. Rooms are spacious, but bathrooms are quite tight - no space to keep any toiletries. Very loud squeaking sound emitted every 15 seconds from just behind the geyser, loud enough to prevent sleep. Split A/C is effective, but uncomfortable direct blast straight on to the bed. No drinking water in the bedroom. Food supplied is homemade and tasty, though staff appeared very reluctant until a telephone complaint was made to the SaffronStays offsite coordinator. BBQ is advertised but ‘not-available’. Initial response to request for dinner was that we should order outside thru Zomato or Swiggy. Breakfast the next morning had omelettes, but no bread . Very charming porch was a great spot for pre-dinner cocktails (own booze and mixers), External lighting after dark makes the entire outdoors area very attractive and is done perfectly. At over Rs 7K per head per room for 3 singles, this was not value for money and the gap essentially is poor service with untrained but hard working staff lead by an unwilling or inept on-site supervisor. Despite Saffron Stays texting us that reservations will only be held if IDs were provided a day prior to arrival, he forgot to pass these on to the staff on site, making them ask for these again on arrival. Very clumsy. If it was not for the pleasing aesthetics and hard working line staff, this would have earned a rating of very poor.
