Excellent Stay!!! Had a great stay at Hotel Udai Niwas by Lake, Udaipur. The staff were super humble and even offered early check-in — really appreciated that! Room was okay in size, no view from it, but the rooftop Sun & Moon Café totally made up for it — awesome food, stunning view of Lake Pichola and Gangaur Ghat, and live music at dinner. Got a discount there too since I was staying at the hotel (you can also check Swiggy Dineout for offers). The location is perfect — Jagdish Temple, City Palace, and Gangaur Ghat are all within walking distance. Overall, great hospitality, food, and vibes!

Good Stay
The stay was good, the room service was brilliant and the staff were also very helpful and easily approachable. The hotel rooms were also good. The only bad thing was the lift service and the staircases were very very narrow.

Excellent Stay
It’s a really good experience, polite staff, food and services are all excellent. We stayed for 2 days without any inconvenience. On rooftop, there’s a restaurant and bar from where you can enjoy city view. Hotel have all the facilities lift, electricity backup.

One of My Best Stays in Udaipur
I recently stayed at Hotel Udai Niwas by Lake during my second visit to Udaipur, and I must say this has been one of my best stays in the city so far. What stood out to me the most was how the hotel managed to offer such a memorable experience without being heavy on the pocket – a perfect balance of comfort, charm, and value. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly their café and live artist performances with a breathtaking lake view. Sitting there, enjoying good food while listening to soulful live music against the serene backdrop of the lake, was truly magical and made the evenings unforgettable. The deluxe room we stayed in was spacious, beautifully designed, and carried a lovely aesthetic charm that added to the overall experience. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax after exploring the city. The interiors reflected a blend of traditional Udaipur vibes with modern comfort, which I really appreciated. Overall, Hotel Udai Niwas by Lake exceeded my expectations with its combination of great hospitality, vibrant atmosphere, and excellent location. Stay was good
It was really a good stay as compared with other hotels near by, rooms and washrooms were clean, the rooftop bar and view was amazing, if you don’t want lake view from your room then just go for this property.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean , also it had a good vibe . The rooftop cafe has a good ambiance overall i had a comfortable stay. The location is excellent attractions like ganuar ghat is like 2 min walk

Average Stay
Lock of room was not working so they changed our room but it had door of short length. Lift is very narrow and can barely fit 2 people with luggage. Stairs are congested. Bedroom and Washroom were ok.

Food in Sun n moon was awesome. And stay was good too..we booked deluxe room it was spacious n clean and main part it’s just few meters always from city palace.

Udai Niwas is a charming old haveli converted into a hotel, located right in the heart of Udaipur’s old city. Its location is unbeatable with City Palace, Gangaur Ghat, and Jagdish Mandir all just a short walk away. Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff is polite, and the food is delicious. Breakfast options are limited but enough to start the day. The real gem is the Sun n Moon Cafe on the rooftop, being one of the highest cafes in the old city, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Pichola and heritage sites. One thing to keep in mind: since it is an old haveli, the stairs are very narrow and steep, and there’s only one lift which is quite slow. This might be inconvenient for elderly travelers. Overall, a great stay for those who want central location, heritage charm, and stunning rooftop views.

Regular cleaning should be prioritizing and drinking water should be available always. For entertainment, the tv should be connected with OTT connection as per trends.
