Smelly reception and room, faulty AC, terrible bathroom hygiene, and worn-out furniture. Only 2 complimentary water bottles, extra water tasted like it came from an unfiltered tap. No breakfast buffet — just a foul-smelling dining area with very limited options. Service was pathetic; staff often didn’t return after requests, calls went unanswered, and they’re unprofessional. Overpriced, overrated, and not worth even 1 star — a dharamshala would be a better choice. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I checked in with my family, and the very first place we encountered — the reception — had a terrible smell. Somehow, we proceeded to our room (you get a physical key here, not an access card), which also smelled bad. The AC wasn’t working at first, so the service staff took batteries from the TV remote, but the actual issue turned out to be a fault in the phase wire. They fixed it in about 15–20 minutes.
They provide only two complimentary water bottles; if you need more, they charge for it unless you specifically request regular water. The first time, it tasted fine, but the next time it was awful — as if taken from an unfiltered tap.
The bathroom was in a terrible state — even a 1-star hotel would be cleaner. There were no proper toiletries, and the faucets and showers didn’t function properly. Since I booked for three people, they provided a worn-out convertible sofa for the third person.
There was no breakfast buffet. Instead, you had to order in their foul-smelling dining area, with very limited options: poha, paratha, aloo poori, fruits, tea, and coffee (maybe one or two more items).
The service was extremely poor. Calls from the room often wouldn’t go through, and when they did, they were frequently unanswered. Even when I asked the staff to do a certain job, they often never returned, and I had to call again to get it done. The staff was unprofessional, and if you’ve stayed in good hotels before, you’ll notice it immediately.
Also, don’t book a cab through them — you can find cheaper and better options elsewhere. I honestly don’t understand how they boast an 8.1 rating at their reception. I wouldn’t even give them 1 star.
I’ve stayed in both 5-star and 3-star hotels, and while I usually ignore negative reviews when booking, this time I regret it. I can’t say others are great, but I know this is the worst choice you could make. Guys, if you are still willing to spend so much on this hotel, I’d say book a dharamshala instead.
