Title: Terrible Experience – Room Given Away Despite Confirmed Booking Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I booked this property through MakeMyTrip for 7th June (1 night) and received a confirmation voucher. Shanu’s team even called to confirm details and shared the caretaker's with whom we were in constant contact. Despite this, we were shocked to be told—while stuck in traffic—that our room had been given away to someone else due to a double booking. The reception staff had assumed another walk-in guest was us and sold the room via another app. At 7 PM, I was told to look for another hotel on my own — while I was traveling with two small children. By 9 PM, we were shifted to Pinewood Tree House, which was unhygienic and clearly of lower quality than what we had paid for. We also missed out on the breakfast included in our original booking. After several complaints to both Shanu and MakeMyTrip, only was refunded after multiple follow-ups (on 29th June). Be aware: Shanu is not the host, but a booking agent. He takes no responsibility once your money is paid. Overall, this was a highly unprofessional and frustrating experience. Would not recommend — book at your own risk.
