Edamala Homestay

Edamala Homestay is one of the homely stays you could find. Frankly, there are better stays right in the next lane, but this place, added to it the cute elderly couple who take care of you like a family guest, gives you required privacy, and the interiors of the rooms and balcony, those are things you pay for. You get a basic homestay and the couple helps you not down your travel plan to the minute and suggest new areas, give proper cautions. My 2 days stay in Thekkady was made beautiful in part because of the isolation and beauty of this place. If you are a solo traveler there are better options in a 200 meters radius but if you want privacy, solace, calm nature this is your place.

The owners are like angels. They took lot of care. Even at 5:30 am when the owner came to know that we were awake sitting in the balcony. He came and gave us fresh tea. Everyday they gave hot water for my mother. Its like our grandparents house. The staying cost is so reasonable. Whenever we will visit trekked y we will stay here only. This is the best stay and will be remembered. They have provided a separate kitchen too. If anyone wants to cook something they can do it. All the utensils are provided by the owner.

Mr. and Mrs. Jose the owner of this Home stay make sure that your stay with them is pleasant and comfortable. Mr. Jose helped us in everything from planning the itinerary to assisting my mother when she fell ill during the trip, they are just too good. The property is a beautiful house amidst a calm residential locality. Away from the traffic Kumili bus stand but still close to all places nearby. Overall, it is a wonderful place to stay. I'd love to stay here next time.

Stay was excellent especially the location was awesome and easily accessible. The property was clean and facilities were available, rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The caretaker was very helpful, overall an excellent stay and a must recommended property.

The property was centrally located. It was total value for money stay in all terms whether it is of security or facilities. The rooms were spacious and clean. The caretaker was very cooperative. The food was delicious. It must be recommended to others.
