Grand Periyar Residency

Location is good. Main area. Food available nearly. No room service available. No wi-fi. Hot water problem is there. Otherwise safe.

Best stay in kumily, highly recommend, rooms are very clean, staffs are soo friendly and supportive.

It good that proparty near market, it is good for one night stay in this budget. But no room service there

Worst experience. No parking and the way to parking is terrible. The room is bed, no ac, bathroom is dirty, the overall this hotel is reliable to pay 1000rs. Only. But they charged 5 times of their expectations. Not recommended to anyone.

It was a good stay. The room was so clean and ambients were good. Their hospitality was too good. I booked their jeep safari, it was totally fun and they took care of us

First thanks to my-trip for arranging good hotel to make our holiday fantastic. Second thanks to grand periyar hotel and the staff mr. Lipson who take care from check in to check out and arranged trekking, kalari shows and kathakali show watching. Totally we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Thanks to my trip and hotel staff.

Clean and budget friendly room, in the middle of the main market and all the tourist attractions and bus stand are at walking distance

The stay was at the central location, a few metres from the bus stand and market. Rooms were clean and well maintained.

I never seen this horrible rooms like this i have book 3 rooms. No hot water, no food service. Don't ever book this property. I will give 1 start & they are telling this is 3star property.

Rooms were spacious and recommended for family and near to boating area and major advantage it is in city

It was nice stay, room was spacious and toilet was also good. We stayed with my family. Mr shaji was very nice, polite gentleman. It is like home stay. There is no facilities for breakfast, lunch and dinnar. I have suggested to mr shaji to provide tea maker in room for self preparation of tea in morning. It is also very near to city. Every thing is available on walkable distance. Overall nice stay

Grand periyar home stay is located just 1min away from the bust stop by walk. So there is no issue in walking to resturants for all 3 meals a day. And also to take auto or bus for transportation. When it comes to the room. I stayed with my bestie/gf/my wife the room we stayed in had hot water from solar. And drinking water 24hrs they also provided hot water till the day we left. Only the first day we had to take shower in a luke warm water due to rain all day. And something to be improved is the room needs repainting. And some minor repair work. Cable connection and tv available for free. Sorry we couldn't care for wifi. So i dont know if they provide. But i do think the deluxe rooms are much bigger and well maintained. We stayed in a small room. If you are making a advanced booking it is really affordable to take the deluxe room it self. So it will be much more comfortable for longer stay. Now coming to the management. Shaji uncle will treat you like family although he couldnt talk much to me due to language issue. He treated my wife like his daughter. He arranged everything we needed jungle/jeep safari, tuskar ride, shopping locations and lips-on his son is another gem. Who gave his bike for travel-ling and sightseeing to keep our expenses low. It is really very nice of them. Even the jeep driver he booked us for safari was really knowledge and funny and friendly. You may not feel luxurious here but you are in safe hands if u are here. They will plan your trip perfectly. And they never charged us a penny extra for organising. Just the room rent. Decent place with nicest management.

No wi-fi. Linen was not neat. Though i had extended my stay by one day through mmt. Owner of resort missed it and did other booking. Finally he did move the other customer elsewhere. But all that created chaos
