Hotels in Upper Syari

It is indeed one Of The good hotels in Sikkim. But yes The owner is arrogant with no resolution to your issues. Although The staff cooperated well, but without resolution.

This is a Hotel which quite over rated in make my trip. I stayed for 2 nights ending today, 10th may so the memory is fresh. I booked a superior deluxe room which had tariff over thousand per night. It showed cheesy pictures with having balcony. In reality I was given a room which had no ventilation with the only window opening at a closed shed refer pictures enclosed. They were neither apologetic and mentioned that this is the room that was booked. So I called MakeMyTrip and they tried their best but couldn't give me a room that I deserved. At the end MakeMyTrip gave me a bonus voucher and the hotel gave me a complimentary dinner. This is why I didn't give a bad star rating. Also the food at hotel was tasty though with limited options. And there is actually no room service. You need to go find and call them. Overall you can book this room but maximum tariff looking into the quality and service.

Good Hotel for a budget stay with all the necessary amenities.

Loved the awesome Valley view from the room. It was designed such that the view is available even from the bathroom. Fantastic room service with good quality of food served. Stones throw from the mg Marg. Parking may be an issue if you travel by your own vehicle. Breakfast spread was a good one. Overall we had a nice time and thanks to MakeMyTrip for the great discount offered me to stay.

But staff was cordial. Hygiene was a big issue

Descent Hotel at a good location. Near to mg Road

The location is good just off mg Marg, but the entrance to the Hotel is through a narrow passage beside an open drain. If it rains, the path is slippery and surely not recommended if you are with an aged person. The Hotel rooms are good clean and airy but if some heavy curtains were on the windows it would have been better. Service is average most of the time we did not find anyone attending the reception. We had to call the phone number of the Hotel to get their attention. As for food, we did not order from the in Hotel restaurant, then again there were no menu card available in the rooms. For travel arrangements will advice visitors to make their own, as we found the cost mentioned for Hotel arranged tour packages to be on the higher Side.

It was excellent. The room was spacious and clean. The most important thing, location is very nice.

Breakfast menu is just terrible, washroom/toilet is too small. Food served in plastic plates.

Had checked into a super dirty Hotel in Gangtok. So out of disgust, I searched hotels at night and found this place on make my trip and checked in Around 10 in the night with a lot of apprehension. The staff turned out to be super helping. Guided me as to how to reach there at night from my previous Hotel. They even lent me a 100 bucks to pay the cab driver as he was not having a change for the bucks when I arrived. Provided me with a far better room than what I have seen in the picture. Big airy rooms, clean and comfortable beds and a super neat and tidy bathroom with 24 hours hot water supply. The staff guided me with all the directions I needed to move Around the City. Taxi stand is just a 2 min walk from the place.

I had good time with my family in this Hotel. This is one of the best in Gangtok. Value for money, spacious rooms, best location in m G Road in the main market. View from Hotel and surrounding are very nice and feel good. We could enjoy evening time in m G Road and many restaurants Around for lunch and dinner.

Hotel was very clean and very good maintain. Rooms are sufficient and washroom very good. As its room cost it was much more.

Ever smiling staff, professional attitude, clean and spacious rooms. Very good variety of tasty veg food in breakfast. I would like to give excellent for that, if possible. Good view from terrace and near to mg mark. Nothing negative to say about. I stayed in 5 different hotels during my trip to Sikkim. It beats all of them with huge margin. Simply perfect.

Location is awesome, staff if very courteous. The room had a very bad smell coming from bathroom which was a real problem.

Booked two rooms for 5 people including extra bed. But was provided only 4 beds.
