Golden Temple – This temple with a golden dome is a world famous shrine dedicated for Sikhs. Devotees across the globe visit this holy shrine every year. JallianWala Bagh – This is the place for people interested in the freedom struggle of India. It’s a national monument telling the story of British mass massacre in India where over 2000 people were shot dead in 1919. The walls here still hold the bullet marks.

Wagah border

Another major attraction in Amritsar tourism packages is the Wagah border- the Indo-Pakistan border. Durgiana Temple: Located near Lohgarh Gate, the Durgiana Temple is a famous temple in Punjab built on the lines of the Golden Temple. It has silver doors and hence kown as Silver Temple. The temple has connection with the Indian epic-Ramayana. 
 
Climate

Amritsar city have an excellent inland continental climate where every tourist shows interest to visit there. When compare to summer, winters are very cold. At the winter days especially from November to February, temperatures might also ranges from 5 to 9 degree Celsius.
