Poor Stay

The property looks really beautiful from the outside, and the surroundings are quite nice. The food quality is also good — tasty and freshly prepared. However, the biggest issue was with the rooms and the service. The rooms were completely damp and had a bad smell, which made the stay very uncomfortable. On top of that, the staff service was very poor. For even small things, we had to call 4–5 times before someone responded. There seems to be no proper management or coordination among the staff. It’s disappointing because the place has great potential — the location is nice, and the food is good — but the poor maintenance and service completely ruin the experience. The management seriously needs to improve cleanliness and staff behavior.

Property is good but room was not maintained properly. Washroom doors weren't locking. Tv was not working. There is no WIFI facility. Food was great though.

Disappointing stay.

I stayed at The Byke Old Anchor Resort, Goa from 24th to 25th October 2025 and had to check out a day early because the property was in terrible condition. The room was dirty, the air conditioner was extremely noisy, and there was no intercom to reach anyone. Every time I needed help, I had to call using my phone — and even then, the staff were rude and unhelpful. Despite repeated complaints, no alternate room or solution was offered. The resort feels completely neglected and long overdue for renovation — walls peeling, furniture old, and basic facilities missing. What’s worse, the staff showed no concern for guest comfort and even disconnected calls abruptly when I tried to speak through support. It’s a shame because the location is stunning, right by the river, but the property is so poorly maintained that it ruins the experience entirely. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone until the management seriously overhauls the property and fixes their attitude toward guests.

we booked the byke resort through MMT by viewing the uploaded pics. but we badly shocked by seeing the worst condition of rooms. rooms are dirty with fungal smell. walls eroded for paints. old noisy AC. outdated TV sets. everything is a mess. waste of money only.

AVERAGE STAY Location is Very Good, Property is Poorly Maintained We Stayed for 6N 7D Our 1st 2 Days is Very Miserable Due to Poor Condition of Room and Facilities, Also Management is Not Helpful in Our Qweary of Room Size , First 2 Days is Passed in Small Room. After Accurate Room Change All Things are Good Except That Room Service & Other Service is Quite Delayed, Also Property area and Garden is Not Maintained Properly.

Unsafe Experience Due to AC Water Leakage

I had an AC issue in my room, which was fixed later. However, in the middle of the night, I noticed water leaking through the wall paint and dripping near the switchboard. It was quite scary because the leakage was close to the electrical circuit — a potential short circuit risk. I had to turn off both the AC and the fan to avoid any danger and ended up sleeping without cooling. The situation felt unsafe and uncomfortable. Room number 228 above situation also 215 room number also water leakage issue

Staffs were polite and Room Service was excellent. Rooms were spacious but needed maintenance. Fooding is expensive in comparison to the quality of food.

I stayed at Byke Old Anchor Resort for 2days it is a lovely property very close to the Cavelosim beach(2mins walk ) food served at the Farm Fresh Resturant is Pure vegitarian and very tasty. Reception area was very good But the property needs a repair, rooms were in a bad conditions, doors were rusted, locks were not working properly, rooms AC were very old and had to call people for help 3times because it was not working. Activity rooms was in a pathetic condition went their to have fun with my family found out that water logging near the TT table carrom as well, all the facilities are there but nothing in a proper condition, staff was very polite and helpful. It is a beautiful property if maintained it will be a very good stay for people looking forward to enjoy south goa with Cavelosim beach near by. And Sal river flowing at the back of the hotel adds more goodness to the property.
