When we requested to have it served in the dining area, there were no lights set up — we ended up eating in the dark. It was frustrating, disorganized, and completely opposite of what was promised. The rooms were in a terrible state — small, poorly maintained, and far from clean. They were filled with insects and even lizards, which made it impossible to relax. The curtains had visible satin-like stains, the bedsheets were not fresh, and to our shock, extra pillows and bedding were stored in the attic area, covered and clearly unused for a long time. The overall hygiene of the space was questionable at best. The staff seemed indifferent and uninterested in addressing our concerns. There was a serious lack of basic hospitality and accountability. For a place that markets itself as a premium sea-view retreat, the reality was far from it. Sadly, what was meant to be a memorable birthday celebration turned into a frustrating, uncomfortable experience. I would strongly advise anyone planning a special occasion to look elsewhere. A beautiful view is simply not enough when the service, cleanliness, and comfort are so severely lacking.

We had a truly memorable stay at this villa in Dapoli. The breathtaking views from the property were an absolute treat—especially during the rains, with a hot cup of their amazing adrak chai in hand. The caretakers were warm, polite, and extremely welcoming, adding a personal touch that made us feel right at home. The villa itself is beautifully designed with a rustic charm that perfectly complements the natural surroundings. The veranda was the highlight for us—spacious, breezy, and a perfect spot to unwind. The food deserves a special mention—fresh, flavourful, and comforting. However, a small but important point to note for pet parents: while the listing mentions the place is pet-friendly, the steep steps leading to the villa can be quite challenging, especially for small or mid-sized breeds. Also, since the property is built on a hill, there’s no open space for pets to run around or play freely. Overall, a wonderful getaway spot—we’d highly recommend it for couples, families, or anyone looking to relax amidst nature. Just something to keep in mind if you’re travelling with pets.

The location is one of the best in Dapoli. Very serene & calm surroundings. With a great sunset view overlooking the Arabian Sea. The cottages were well maintained & the staff was friendly. Highly recommended if you are a fish lover, as their kitchen served good fried fish options too.

Awesome stay more than expectation the room is very cozy and nice the view is also mind Blowing the food was also very nice i had booked jaswanti which is on the top of all the villas and has really big balcony for yourself where you can enjoy your dinner and breakfast

Location is very good, staff is courteous and helpful, room was clean and good to stay in, food was also good. Only thing that they need to change is they should allow to order food for one person if the other person doesn't want to eat

Honest review- Cons 1. They don’t have dedicated restaurant or canteen, so if you feel hungry late night, good luck finding near by restaurant (nothing in 10kms of radius) 2. Rooms were full of small lizards and insects 3. They DO NOT provide packaged drinking water even after paying so much of room charges 4. Food quality was so poor that we got sick and have to leave the place early 5. Air conditions were not working properly 6. Frequently power cuts Pros- 1. Only one - View is good Overall not worth and not recommended.

the place is good and could be better in monsoon for sure. however this place needs a lot of focus on service. we have stayed in other saffron stay bungalow and the service as compared to others, was not comparable at all. when we entered car park was a struggle and no one to guide. we had to call a person to get help on luggage. the staff was literally pushing us out from the villa at check out. we told them that our kid had a online class and we would have to finish that and then we would leave. anyways the check out for 10 is too early considering one is on a vacation. kindly make the changes to one doesn't have get thrown out.

The stay,food, location were great. Major plus point was scenic view of sunset and beach from your balcony. The staff Shravan and Vijay were very friendly and helpful.

Property is good, food quality can be better. Service is good. An intercom in rooms would be helpful.

The property was too good and serene. We went for our first short honeymoon trip and it was amazing amid-st the breezy weather and beach. The staff was also very polite and helpful.

We visited villa 270 this winter and it was a fabulous experience. Location of the resort is amazing and it is equipped with almost all amenities. This is not a hotel but all basic amenities are taken care of. Food is delicious with local dishes only. Shravan and other staff were very courteous and made our stay memorable. Definitely worth visiting once.

I had an overall pleasant stay at villa 270. The staff and caretakers at the property were very polite, approachable and helpful. That i thought, made my family’s stay quite good. The food was very well cooked and the staff catered to our every request. The views from the property are really beautiful and do provide a relaxing experience. But there are a few things though that could be improved - i have always thought of saffron stays as a premium offering in the hospitality industry. For the amount of money charged, the rooms seem very basic with basic things such as complete set of toiletries missing, no coffee/ tea sachets, inadequately lit rooms, smaller room sizes and room safety getting compromised in an attempt to make doors look aesthetic. We also were troubled by the constant ingress of lizards in the rooms. I feel at the price i paid for the booking, i expected to get more amenities and well maintained/ updated rooms ( the doors, windows and some furniture items seemed worn out after a long time of use. These things shouldn’t take a backseat in the pursuit of providing aesthetically pleasing themes.
