  Velas is a coastal village which falls in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra. The place is well known for its beaches which reflect nature in its best preserved and pristine form. Besides Velas beach here are several other tourist attractions at Velas including the Bankot Fort and the Harihareshwar Temple. Velas is a superb village! One can surely visit this village to refresh mind and stay away from city life! Nature here at its bestttt! One can actually get the best food if one stays in this village as there are many home stays now available wherein you get provided by everything! Best untouched sea they save sea turtles you have to go 1.5 kms long to reach this sea. roads are nice. Lovely serene village with a calm beach and some lovely people.
