Toiletries were not provided well...latch was not working properly....amenities were not that good...not worth the price

Threatening, violence, abuse to family members. No electricity during night, no water, no washroom water supply and no help in luggage handling, also threaten to family members, no breakfast, management was completely unresponsive

Amazing experience. The staff was very supportive and they were very helpful regarding suggesting cafes, and all the view was also nice, and the cleanliness was also maintained. Only drawback was there was no AC.

We had a disappointing experience during our stay. Despite selecting and booking a specific room through MakeMyTrip—where all room types were listed at the same rate—we were given a different room upon arrival. When we raised this with the staff, they claimed the room we selected was priced higher, even though the app clearly showed same price for all room types and I even showed it to the manager. The manager then called the owner, who bluntly told us that if we didn’t want the room they had assigned, we were free to leave the hotel altogether. This was the first time I found a host being so hostile and impolite and asking the customer to leave. this response extremely unprofessional, especially since the pricing issue was on their end. Reluctantly, we decided to stay because they refused to refund our payment unless we canceled the booking ourselves (even though we were asked to leave by them), which would have made us ineligible for a full refund. Unfortunately, the room provided lacked basic amenities like drinking water, towels, and toiletries—further adding to our dissatisfaction.

Not as good as I was expecting. The room was very good, the bathroom was very good, and the location was also good — but these alone were not enough. Toiletries were not provided, there was no intercom, and every time we needed something, we had to call their mobile number. The balcony gate lock was not working, and there was a lamp but no bulb. The food was good. However, the receptionist was unaware that breakfast was included with the booking, and they added some items to the bill that I hadn't ordered. I had to call the hotel owner three times for clarification, but he didn't pick up. It was a bit of a hassle to resolve the billing issue. Service was very slow as they have a small kitchen — you have to wait a long time even for a cup of tea, another chapati, or a paratha. Wi-Fi password was given but it didn't work. Overall, I must say there are better options available at the same or even a lower price.

The ridgeview homestay at Kasol is located very near to small market. It is very near to the River Parvati. We had a very nice view of the snowcovered mountains from our room balcony on the 2nd floor. The staff is very well behaved and they serve good food.
