The stay was very comfortable, rooms well maintained and staff behaviour was welcoming. The food was simple and very affordable. However, please ensure you have an SUV as the road conditions to reach there is horrible

Very scenic location, beautiful cottages, delicious food and nice care-takers.

The hospitality from caretakers was good. Location and cottage stay is decent.

1. Both the care taker n owner Sudhanva are very rude and non cooperative. Any thing you ask for they will say it is not available. 2. We were 4 hours late for checking due heavy rain but no extension was provided for checkout. 3. The place is full of insects, litch and mosquito. 4. The road to reach the place is extreme terain and accident prone. 2 cars can't pass side by side. 5. There is no network. Wifi was not stable half of the time and no channels in tv. No activities and bone fire was arranged. 6. Rooms are small n there was no cleaning of the room done for 2 days. 7. Muddy water in bath room. 8. Due to poor network if you speak loudly over the phone at night in the common area, the owner Mr. Sudhanva n care taker Shekar will say you are disturbing other guests n creating nuisance where no ther guest got disturbed. Actually there were only 3 cottages n we had a good rapport with them. 9.It says manikyadhara falls is just 3 mins walk which is not true. There is nothing to see nearby and once you pay the money you are jacked. 10. There were no transport arranged for us from the stay. The roads are so pathetic you will not feel like going down town. 11. Both these Sudhanva n Sekhar does not even know how to treat a guest or behave with them. He does not mind calling you at night 11 pm also to clear your bills the night before the checkout. 12. Last but not least the food. No option to order from else where so it's their monopoly. Over priced stale food has only daal, chapati, rice curd n boiled egg or chicken sukka. The same menu for lunch n dinner. They will not prepare any thing else. So basically you are dumb struck once payment the non refundable booking amount n goto this place which turn out to be a nightmare for sure! So think 10 times before booking as there are 1000 of other better home stays or resorts near by.

If you’re planning a trip to Chikmagalur, Check out *Manikyadhara Homestay*, Overlooking lush valleys of Bababudangiri hills,. We stayed there for two days, and it was nothing short of magical. Imagine waking up to the sounds of peacocks and parrots, and watching fireflies in the night ,It’s been ages since I’ve seen them! The caretakers were very softspoken and food was very homely and reasonable. Heads up: The last 4 km to the homestay is a bit of a rough off-road trail — but if you’re on a bike trip, you’ll love the adventure!

The stay at manikyadhara homestay was extremely pleasant. It is a hidden gem located at the foothill, very private and serene. The host and the caretakers made our stay perfect with their hospitality, the food was very good. Overall a perfect peaceful stay, definitely looking forward to visiting again.

This was our one of the best stay in chikmangalur Just heaven....they have 3 cottages and one common cottage for to food etc. There are 2care taker who are just loveable to next level.. We stayed here for 2 days with pet ( it's also a pet friendly) and just not wanted to go out from this property They all have basic amenities inside house..only BF is included with tariff rest for Lunch and.l.dinner you have to pay...price is up at little higher charge but acceptable as the property it self is at peak. Behind the house, you can see Baba budangiri mountain which is just breathtaking view They only cons or rather difficult is to reach to thi property You actually need SUV to reach on top as the road to reach is Off road and difficult for new learner drivers Please don't take risk to reach with non suv cars Please do visit this place if want peace and lovely stay in chikmangalur 😊

First of all its very difficult to track the location and it's 20 minutes inside from the main road with no proper direction and no network. Very hard for any sedan or small car to climb up the place it's a damage to the car. No help from host to reach up hill there. We wouldn't recommend that to any old people kids or family to book this place. Food options are very average no room service and you might need to carry your own snacks and drinks since they won't prepare anything apart from dinner which is again very basic

The host did not respond properly. Barely interacted. The caretaker speaks only Kannada. So lot of language barrier. And the road to the stay is very terrible. Be ready for a roller-coaster ride and if you interested in getting your vehicle big-time screwed up. With all that rocky terrain. Overall except for the location beside the mountain backdrop. It's not worth spending your money out here. Will not recommend it to any of my acquaintance

It was a great secluded place. The kitchen food was not that great. There is no internet connectivity here. But the host is great. The road to the homestay is not well made.
