Review Of Kafal House | Rooms & Caretaker

Location wise it is quite good. we stayed in a double bedded room and a Cheer nest cottage, which can accommodate 4 people in each. Linen were clean, minimum toiletries were supplied. The room service is not upto the expectations. The food was very exorbitant. Over all it is more or less a good place for stay.

It was beautiful and peaceful. The location was so much beautiful and i loved the stay. Will look forward coming back here

Nice and comfortable homely stay. Property is very open and offers nice view. Home made food was excellent. Electricity was a problem and geyser was non functional because of electricity issues. Overall a good stay. Hot water was supplied though in the bucket.

Kafal house is very well managed and staff in polite, very attentive. Food is excellent but felt little costly, may be as they have to bring supplies from nainital so acceptable. Good thing about kafal house is it’s tastefully arranged, it’s dinning area is too good. Each wall as nature, wildlife paintings or photos, furniture in dinning is old style antique, and overall feel is too good. Varanada in front of rooms is valley facing, so you can just sit and relax watching birds and nature. Will definitely love to go again to kafal house.

The distance from the property to the road is a 200 meter road, which is not mentioned in the info.

It was nice location and excellent weather and my family fully enjoyed that place and recommend to all family member should visit. I will definitely plan to visit next time too, it is really fantastic experience.

We booked 2 rooms but seems they were full and we were offered 1 nest cottage. Room was good but the facilities are minimal. It has a beautiful location and a serene environment.

Staff was very cooperative. Food we did not tried. Manager was so helpful regarding anything asked.
There should be a small wardrobe or almira. Besides this everything was very good.

Well the hotel has now been taken over by the Jungle Lore Birding Lodge. The food is served in the beautiful dining place of Jungle lore. The food was excellent but bit pricy. The standard room we stayed in Kafal house was neat and clean but lacks basic amenities like mirrors, wardrobes etc. Although the bathroom was quite good. Location of the hotel is quite good being in the lap of misty hills and filled with diverse bird species. For a middle class family, Kafal House is a good option as the Jungle Lore costs 5k+. Regarding bird watching take a good guide but negotiate well as standard fee of a guide for a full day birding tour is Rs. 3500/. Stay at least for two days in Pangot as you will get ample time to watch various bird species in and around Pangot.

Nice stay for one night. Not enough food options in the night. Had to search for food here and there in the night. Staff was very helpful kind. I would definitely recommend to stay in this if you visit Pangot village, as it is placed down the hill, very nice view from the window. Definitely a go for this hotel.
