No TV in the rooms. Though the food provided was homely but still below average standards.
Baranendrarao Molli , Jul 29, 2018
The service and food was pathetic. no hot water was provided for taking bath. we had to repeatedly request them to give hot water for taking bath. food quality was very bad, no options at all for food.

No staff, no TV, no proper food, arogent behaviour of owner, no hot water...cheap food, no cleaning of room for 5 days..its shocking.

I cannot recommend Chube because the relation between the price and the achievement is not good in any way. The hotel is much to expensive for what you get. I got a room where the toilet did not work and the food was okay but nearly every day the same and also not compatible to the price. The most awful thing was that they pushed me to book tours with them only. As I did not do this, first the owner stood in-front of my door then his wife saying that this was not good that I should not do this. I am 48 years old and I decide for myself what I do and I will not excuse myself for a decision that I make.

Good hotel, but without television. The food was good but no variety for breakfast.
Samresh Sreenivasan , Jul 29, 2018
The hotel is situated very close to the market place.( 5 min walk). Also the view of the mountains covered with snow on one side and on the other side is a mountain on which the royal palace is situated. These view can be seen from the hotel room which had French windows on 2 sides. The service is par excellence, home made food served in the restaurant or in the room. Gas Heater was arranged as the hotel didn't have central heating. As I was traveling with a child (7 yrs) and he wanted to eat Maggie, the staff arranged for one in no time. For breakfast they had Paratas/Omlet/ Toast jam, etc...lunch, there was Paneer/Alu tomato/Dal, etc and also Kheer. Such excellent service. The staff arranged for the trip to Khardung La, a place the highest motorable road in the world(18500 ft above seal level) to see and play in the snow. The cost is 1400 for the 6 hrs trip in a scorpio and 100 Rs for the permit as it is close to the border. Hotel has sun beds to rest, owners take good care. Cool!

No room service, no hot water, items like soap, etc only on demand. Lunch not served, though it was in package. Only plus is the location.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 days during first week of September. My only thing impressed me about the hotel is its vegetable/ fruit garden which makes you feel you are going to live in a farm house for nest few days. Besides, I could not find a reason to recommend it to a fellow traveler. It is located at 10 minutes walking distance from the main market but it is a big ask if you have to walk uphill each time even to fetch a packet of chips or a tooth brush in low oxygen conditions. Room service is almost non existent and there is no way you can contact the hotel stuff at night unless you walk to there bedrooms and knock the doors. There is no geyser and hot water is only available in the morning till the stock last, that is what we were told. The food is okay if you are veg, non veg items are not cooked even on request. The bed was very uncomfortable to sleep on. The mattresses were very hard and my 5 .10" body could not fit into it.

We had driven down from Delhi, checkin was at 7am, two rooms, the rooms were not ready and very dusty and bad, we were asked to wait, hence we had to check in another Hotel.

Average hotel and very basic services available. Wasn't fully operating during winter months in February. The room was chilly and Television was also not working because of unavailability of electricity.

It was a good experience in this hotel along with good staff and good food. The suggestions which were given by the hotel were very helpful and practical for roaming around. Best ever place to visit
Great place to stay

We were on our Leh road trip and booked room here. It was an awesome experience because of the location, weather and amenities they provided. Don’t expect fancy stuff here but all basic things are taken care of!
Not recommendable at all.
Prashant Gupta , Oct 27, 2017
No Room Service at all, if you need tea, you have to go to kitchen and request. Average meal quality @ high price. Not sufficient staff, only 1 lady(owner) is doing everything. Surroundings are filled with garbage. Poor wi-fi
Brilliant stay. Nice homely ambience. A cosy place
Rocky Nathaniel , Oct 21, 2017
Brilliant simple cost effective place to stay. If you want a feel of family then stay with rinsing chube and his wife. Since ladakh requires lots of travelling Mr. Chube is adept at organising your Tours

This hotel is located at very good location, 5 min drive from bus stand, 15 minutes from airport, Staff is good. Food is okay. This is a good hotel in low budget. They provided pick and drop facility as well as.
The owner Mr. Sonam Rigzen and his wife are very amiable and nice people. Even their Chef Mr. Zotpa would ask us what we wanted for dinner and would cook the same for us. What the hotel lacked in amenities, was made up by their warm behavior. I had s

Room was good but in this cold weather could be better with some heating. There was no intercom in the room though there was a Master Phone at the Reception Counter. The owner insisted that there was a phone in the room which I asked him to reconfirm. Then he said probably it must have gone bad and hence removed. Overall, it was a homely experience.

Like a homestay with helpful and friendly staff
The Hotel Chube was possibly the only good thing that happened to us in this unforgiving rough terrain. The food options were limited- but they were enough for a rather comfortable stay! Since we were at a high altitude with the atmosphere having less oxygen, we decided to restrict our food habits for the days we would stay at Ladakh. We decided to have non-veg food for only one meal a day (this was quite difficult for a hard core non-vegeterian bengali like me :( ). Rather than having a large full stomach meal at a time, we decided to break our meals and make it more frequent with more intake of water. The Hotel Chube was really helpful in providing our breakfast during early hours! This may be a practice in Leh- but I can say for sure from my own experience that many Hotel Chubes across India as well as in many European countries would love to avoid providing their promised complimentary breakfast to their boarders travelling early morning. Our breakfast were neatly packed and provided to us everyday before our trips commenced. Quantity-wise it was good enough to continue for the whole daytime before we had our lunch- which was often late in the day. We found the Hotel Chube owner taking personal initiative into looking after the health of boarders falling for altitude sickness. After an exhaustive day, the Hotel Chube staff would provide their best efforts to make one comfortable! But as it is said - comfort is a highly subjective matter. In our case- being a bengali who always looks for that extra comfort after a tiring day- we were pretty satisfied with the services provided to us, always with a human touch. Especially I would never forget the lemon ginger tea requests that were met at odd hours by the Hotel Chube staff and were always served with a smiling face. In Leh somehow every food item tastes good- whether it is the roadside momo or the closed pizza at Pizza Hut Restaurant, Leh Market. Especially we found Hotel Chube Chubi serving one of the best most fluffy omelette we ever had. As we had observed- the Hotel Chube may not be a good place for tourists in the winter season, since the present heating system is not that good. We were not troubled by this - because we travelled in the month of AUgust with the climate being moderate. But there is good news - the owner is building a new Hotel Chube with centralised heating system just behind the present Hotel Chube. This would be hardly 100 steps from the main road where the present Hotel Chube is located - cutting off the pollution caused from vehicles and more into the limited greenery Leh offers, of course with fresh and clean oxygen. With this review I would like to thank Mr. Rigzin Chubi(owner) and Shankar dada(senior Hotel Chube staff) along with other staff from Jharkhand for their hospitality and friendliness.
Good budget hotel
1. Location. Location of Hotel Chube is very good. It's just a few min walk to main market. Parking space is available. I rated 4/5 for location. 2. Property. It's a nice and small property. Very well maintained and beautifully organised. It's a home away from home. Got around 10 rooms. Beautiful aesthetics and dining room. Run by a family I. E husband and wife staying there only. Small staff. Couple have a very good nature. 3. Facilities. 3 out of 5 for facilities. I actually intended to give two but I was prepared for it before hand. I had read the reviews earlier for it's kitchen. Minimum services are available. Room telephone wasn't working. In one of the review it was mentioned that guest asked for Maggie and staff said that you have to purchase the Maggie from market and they will prepare it, in the same review it was mentioned that food was not good. I tried the Maggie thing and got the same reply. I even asked for paratha in breakfast instead I was advised to have bread toast. Hot water facility is not there. Staff is in disciplined. Overall it is good Hotel Chube for the price charged provided you only need a place to crash for a night.
Easy and clean place to stay
I stayed at Hotel Chubi on my last day in Leh after returning back from Hunder village in Nubra valley. Dead tired after a long, grinding journey, we used our stay only to recover and did not get chance to experience the hospitality of the owner. So nothing much to write home about. Nevertheless, after my brief say, here is what I have to share. (i) Foremost, Makemytrip got me a very reasonable deal. (ii) From reviews I learnt about good natured owner of this Hotel Chube but unfortunately I could not meet him and mostly the reception was unmanned. (iii) Rooms at ground floor where I got my two rooms were with blocked view and partial view from window but I could imagine that rooms at first floor would have come with open and clear view. (iii) rooms were cosy and clean. (iv) Buffet dinner was being arranged for a big (jain) group and I got an impression food options are limited. (iv) there are many other Hotel Chubes available around this Hotel Chube and in general the area is well maintained. (v) Easily accessible from main market, airport etc. The bottom line : may not be good at listed price but with some bargain deal worth considering.
Nice place and good value for money
The Hotel Chube has a decent location .. If you're looking for some peace and quiet .. It's about 500-700 mts from the main market .. The Hotel Chube is great value for money .. The owner is a kind man .. Only issue that we faced was the poor service in terms of food .. If you're feeling hungry during the day and want to have something then there's nothing that will be prepared ... The guy who supervises the kitchen is basically smart .. We asked him to make maggi and he said he'll have to get it from the market .. And eventually he said that he could find any ... Imagine .. Not finding maggi in a place like Leh .. Every shop owner in leh has maggi .. Apart from that .. The regular dinner service is good .. Breakfast is also ok-ok .. Very limited .. Omlette and toast .. When we asked the kitchen guy that why doesn't he prepare some indian breakfast .. He said "foreigners can't have that" Apart from the food .. I would totally recommend the place.
Very Homely stay
The location is very convenient. The owner Mr. Rigzin is very helpful and cooperative. He arranged a vehicle at a discounted rate and also arranged our stay at Pangong lake at a very low price. He also arranged bikes for us at very reasonable price we checked the market price). The Hotel Chube is walking distance to the main bazaar and also changpa road where one can hire bikes. The breakfast served here is OK as it is convenient in the morning. Tips: take the rooms at the top (1st floor). If I happen to go to Leh again I'm surely gonna stay again in this Hotel Chube.
Good hotel with generous & friendly owner
Chube Hotel Chube is located in Chunk Area... Away from hustle bustle & noise of Leh market area... It is value for money here... Food is also good... It is buffet & one should be first to Savor as they prepare less quantity of food. Sweet was awesome but we only got one serving as it wasn't left enough... Owner Mr Rigzin & his son are good & helpful... They provided me their laptop for the night for photo transfer inspire of I checking out same night... Rooms are traditional Ladakhi & one can find little awkward with wooden colour all over in the room.
Small hotel & I didn't enjoy
It's a nice and small Hotel Chube. Cooperative and helping staff. Absence of cable and Wi-Fi made me feel bored there. Staff offered complimentary dinner and complimentary drop to Airport but non working phone, non working DTH, bad lighting, bad Wi-Fi all made me not so pleased. But otherwise people are good. Bad experience of facilities do happen here in Leh sometimes. So, it may be one off instance. But still I can't recommend if you are alone. If you are in family requiring 2-3 rooms then you may enjoy as rooms are facing each other.
Real value for money Hotel Chube. You cannot get better than this one. The location is good in a quieter area but not far from the market place. View from our bedroom is particularly good as we had Leh Palace and Tsemo Namgeyal on one side and Shanti Stupa the other. Mr Rigzin was very particular about our comfort and he continuously checked whether everything is okay. All the other staffs were really helpful and always served us with smile on their faces. If we ever travel to Leh again, we will stay there.
Owners have furnished hotel brilliantly
Owners have furnished Hotel Chube brilliantly using flowering plants & buddhism wheel of fortune, all family members of owner pay attention in replenishing fresh vegetables & fruits for Hotel Chube's kitchen, Hotel Chube provide secure, covered parking area which is kept locked so that visitors don't have to wash car again & again. Since they are running Hotel Chube from 21 years, they are professionally skilled in cycling, trekking & providing suggestions for travel plans, local route maps, Wi-Fi.
Stay at Hotel Chube
I have stayed at this Hotel Chube during 3-5 Sept, 2017 with my parents. Hotel is nearer to main market approx 10 minutes walk. Staff is very friendly & helpful. Food was served as per our choice and requirements. Hotel owner has managed to get permits & taxi for our visit to nubra & pangong. Hot water is available 24 hrs. Suggestions for improvements: Rooms are very old and there is a requirement for renovation. (We have stayed in room no. 104) Hotel shall focus more on cleanliness of bathroom.
Stat at Hotel Chube, Leh Ladhak
I and my family stayed at Hotel Chube from 08 May to 12 May (4 nights stay). My stay was comfortable and enjoyed being there. The owner of the Hotel Shri Ringzen was extremely helpful and courteous in behaviour. When my son suffered from mountain sickness on the day of arrival, he took pains to take him to the Hospital and treat him. He also helped us with our sightseeing trips. The food served at the Hotel Chube is also good. All in all I had a memorable stay at the Hotel.
Value for money stay
We stayed here from 23rd March 2016 to 29th March, 2016. Hotel Chube, Leh is located just 15 mins drive from airport. The owner arranged pick up from airport. Owner arranged our all tour of our trip, from first day to last day of our trip. It was a memorable trip for us, what the owner arranged. Food is just like our home, the cook is very good cook. Overall, it was nice experience in that Hotel Chube, it was just like family to us. Totally value for money.
Very comfortable and pleasant stay
It was very comfortable and pleasant stay. Staff was really nice and gave good service. They took care of luggage during our absence. The tea and breakfast provided was also good. I would recommend others to stay there.
Great for a family enjoyment
One of the best Hotel Chube for family with safety and best food service in town. Owner is of the best person to deal along with the room service boys. Shankar was the head of room service who help us in all our needs.
It feel like home at Hotel Chube Chube. Mr Rigzin, the owner is a very nice person and helps in every requirement even if it is not his concern. The staff was also very nice. You will get all information free and correct and everything will be arranged at the cheapest price will excellent facilities.
A nice place to say ... Within budget. Good ... Value for moneyyy ... If you are looking for a place within budget I will say you must choose this. Hotel servies should be improved also the cleanliness.
The hospitality is very good and owner too
I have been to ladakh for 4 consecutive year and have been staying in this Hotel Chube. The hospitality is very good along with staff and owner Rigzin. They will help with all the information from getting the permit, cab and bikes around in leh. You don't have to go anywhere they have agents who will come to Hotel Chube and give you the permit and car which is very convenient for us after you had a tiring journey. Food and breakfast is very good.
A home stay away from home.
My experience at Hotel Chube was really awesome. I strongly recommend people visiting Leh to acknowledge this Hotel Chube for staying. We stayed here for almost 6 days and didn't experience any sort of discomfort in this Hotel Chube.
small and nice hotel
Hotel provided free airport pick up and drop. It also arranged for taxi for local travel at reasonable rates. owner He provides useful tips for local site seeing.
Loved our stay in the hotel, more like homestay
The stay in the Hotel Chube was amazing. It became more like home stay. The owner of the Hotel Chube were always there even in the middle of the night. All the staff be it Arjun, Shankar, Dave including our driver Nubru were very cooperative. The journey became so memorable because of them. I just loved my stay. In fact I am uploading the picture of the Hotel Chube and the staff.
Friendly services and lovely food
Very good food. Owner personally takes interest in well being of his customers. Lovely food. Shankar serves food with lot of love and passion. Rooms are bit dated but still very comfortable. WiFi very slow.
The Hotel Chube was good enough for few days until final day when we bought non-veg and plan for drinks in open. There was owners dog which literally came to eat our food even after many requests staff didn't responded at all. I wish this will change.
We had a very comfortable stay at the place. All the facilities are good and I must thank all the staff for their warm welcome and service. Location is approachable and nearby environment is peaceful. Meals also give home feel.
Great deal & perfect location
Hotel Chube Leh is one of the best places to stay in Leh. The location is perfect and you will get beat value for money. Owner Mr. Rigzin is a very nice person and is also ready to go extra mile to help his customers. The staff were very helpful and quick.
More than budgeted hotel
We stayed from 27 March 2016 Mr.Rigzin the owner & there family runs Hotel Chube.Mr.Rigzin know that due to high altitude there is problem of breath to every guest & from that he will give proper suggestion to avoid that problem.Apart from that he also owns travel desk, so forget running here & there & enjoy in there new XUV car. All over its was good time to stay in Hotel Chube
Home away home !!!
One of the best Hotel Chube in LEH. I have gone there three times. Whole staff is very nice .. Very cooperative ... Very helpful. My family fell sick due to very cold temperature but owner of this Hotel Chube took all member to hospital personally he helped us in all situation like brother ... Like family member ...

Nice place to stay for every type of members.
The room was good and all the staff with the owner were very gentle and polite. Food I can say was very nice. As I was non vegetarian which I missed here but overall the food quality was very good. The room was neat and clean. Overall I can say it was very good Hotel Chube within budget.
I stayed at chube for a few days at the end of summer season and it was the perfect place to stay in Leh, especially considering the price. Great Hotel Chube in a fantastic environment and the friendliest people around, who will help you with everything!
Really nice Hotel Chube for stay. Good location and food. Very helpful and cooperative staff. Hotel owner provided all kind of help and ensure that our stay is comfortable. Even for pick and drop, they have not charged anything extra which was not covered in room rent.
