Dinner buffet staff provided poor service
The dinner buffet had very less staff. Spoon holder was not even placed after multiple requests. We understand that the dining area was out of power.

Good hotel but has lingering issues
We have stayed here 3-4 times in the last year and have always enjoyed our stay. However, some issues were always there: 1) AC controls don’t work very well. It only has cool and fan mode. The heat mode didnt work. Usually it runs on the cooler side. 2) food is good but service is slow. 3) housekeeping is average at best. In our most recent stay, we were given a stained comforter without cover and water which was 5 days old. All issues were fixed when complained but in my opinion these should never have happened to begin with. Heater was provided because the built in AC unit’s heat mode didn’t work. We’ll be trying other hotels in the future.

Average Stay
The property's location was quite good. The food was average, and there was not a wide variety of options available in the buffet. Room service was rather slow, and there were not many amenities provided.

could rate a 3.5/4 start 5 is too much !
The hotel looked really good but I wish the food, amenities were also that good ! There were a lot of varieties in food but in taste want that great ! The AC wasn’t cooling in our room and the water pressure was too low in the bathroom !

Average Stay
We had to wait a long time for our room after check in , even though we had called earlier multiple times to request for early checkin . Check in time is 2pm and we got our rooms at 3:45pm. Even after that, the room wasn’t cleaned from the previous guest and we found things that were kept for that guest, still present in our room. Room service took a lot of time. Overall not worth the money paid for. Better to go to other chain hotels

Rethink and Book the stay!
Grand Mercure Mysore has a strategic location advantage, that is closer to the highway and also to most tourist attractions. There ends the good part. The hotel has a cramped up parking space or they refuse to use basement parking am not sure, your car is always parked in blazing sun. So when you choose to ride out its like a trip in oven. Even after multiple requests to not park in sun the valet folks did exactly park in sun. The LaUpp restaurant is no where near a 5 star dinning experience. The staff is clueless and not paying any attention and the cleanliness of tables are questionable?. In peak hours of breakfast you wait 15 mins for someone to clean a table that is empty and then another 10 mins to add cutlery. The food preparation are also not standing out so the experience is falling short tremendously! Rethink booking at this cost and getting such a subpar experience.

Not at all comfortable
The loation is good and the staff are polite and helpful. The areas for improvement are many. 1.The non smoking room was stinking of cigarette smell, which was increasing every few hours ; there is shower cabin, water spilling all over the bathroom making it dangerously slippery; the telephone was out of order; perhaps designed for tall Americans and not short Indians, the bed is too high from the floor making it impossible to sit on the bed; on the whole a sad experience
