Chill view cottages

After we arrived at Ooty, we tired calling the property for incury if we can check in early as our bus arrived early but the number provided was switched off. After we arrived the residency, we were asked to charged extra 500 rupees for early check-in. After lots of discussion the person incharge now asked to pay 400 rupees, and were allocated a temporary room. After that he said, he will shift our laggage to the room allocated. We had called around 12:42 pm, he said that the room is still not cleaned yet after which the laggage will be shifted. We came around 5:30 pm the laggage was at room number 1, our laggages were there but the room was open and no one was there so we allocated ourselves and settled, just as we were settled, the person in charge comes around 7pm and asked us to shift to 09 room saying they are booked and all but there were no person present. worst then expected.

If you want to stay on better good room then go for 2000 inr/ day

I stayed 2 nights in August in a family room because I couldn't find a more affordable place in Ooty for this type of accommodation. The manager is truly lovely and attentive. He made me feel very welcome. Everything is very clean, it's really nice. Also, so far, after 2 months in India, it's the best bedding I've ever had. The mattress, duvet, and pillows are very comfortable. I can't put the maximum price on it because I was really cold. I used the second duvet on the second bed. Ideally, guests should be provided with sandals because the tiles are freezing. Also, as a possible improvement, you could change the entrance door to the room. The lock alone isn't enough to feel secure, and the door opens by itself because of the wind when you don't lock it. And changing the curtains to thicker ones would help keep it dark in the morning. Otherwise, for cleanliness, service (the gentleman even went to get me something to eat!) and bedding, I recommend it.

It was a good place for stay. There's no disturbance and also very good view of ooty.

I had a fantastic stay at Chill View Cottage in Ooty. The location offers stunning views of the valley, especially during sunrise. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, equipped with amenities like a geyser and kettle. The staff, particularly the caretaker Ashok Kumar, was incredibly helpful and responsive, arranging cabs and ensuring all our needs were met promptly. The cottage is conveniently located near the main road, making it easy to access nearby attractions. Overall, it was a comfortable and memorable experience.

GPS location of the hotel troubled me to locate. After speaking to hotel staff, able to find it with landmark as Yummy Restaurant. Bad smell from bathroom.. No table in the room.. Daily room cleaning service is not there.. Parking available but not proper floor..

Please do not go to this property. Better stay in bus stand. this property is 0 in cleanliness and 0 in customer service. They will not give you room which you booked and will force you to stay in some other room. the caretaker will keep on knocking your door every 5 min for some issue or something to say thus making it 0 privacy. The bathroom had weird smell. I left this place in 5 to 6 hours since it was not something tolerable. They will not give even chairs and there is only 1 table outside which is for eating. That table is common so in case if you want to eat and request them to arrange another table they will not do it and they will be point out at a chair and tell you only to take it out and sit by yourself. they will not listen to you and will never listen to you and keep on screaming and telling in High Note voice. please if you do not want to your Ooty trip do not go to this place this is very suspicious and in every sentence he will tell this is family hotel and family room which is made in it more suspicion. I can write 1000 lines but I do not want to waste my time and write more on it because it's just worst.

We are little bit disappointed, because we expect more from the stay like fire camb, chillout place and etc. But they ask extra money for all of that and that's not a reasonable price, and we visit ooty for mind relax and night outs but told us they closed the main door at 10. 30pm that's very disappointment for us. Otherwise neet room that's all. Thank you

The resort was located on the top with steep slope no steps and no street lights and the rooms were very average and bathroom are not properly maintained and the switches were not working at all. There is no room heaters which is very uncomfortable to elderly travelers

The rooms are clean and well-equipped with a geyser, kettle, and fresh bedsheets. Room service is available, and the staff is highly responsive and supportive, ensuring a comfortable and safe stay.

I've had a two day stay with my family here on new year and had lot's of expectations for this sty. But to disappoint me the room was bit congested and the plug points were faulty and we had 4 smart phones and a camera but was very difficult to charge devices. Since we almost use maps to travel each smartphones battery got discharged faster and there was no way to charge every devices on time we had to charge one after other. In the end I called the caretaker and he bought some 3 pin adaptor but it wouldn't stick to it and comes off. So with one plug available we had to manage. Not easy. Blankets provided were average and not that great and it didn't bother me because we had our own bought. The parking was really terrible they said private parking is there but don't get fooled the way to the stay itself is steep and very shallow road to reach also they had recently bought JCB and leveled the mud that's it. If someone parks behind you you're done for the day. Next the gyser since it's a cold place we needed the gyser almost everytime to use but they had the button outside and it was kind of weird they had it off and stating we would not turn it off. Once we take the room key the electricals would turn off anyhow but they were relectant to our plead. No bonfire nothing they say we are only 3 so there will be no enjoyment and there are families who has stayed so no bonfire during NYE. Overall a regular stay with no amenities just you want to sleep and move on then I guess it's okay. Don't expect anything.

The stay was actually good enough. Didn’t expect such a genuine price 2 days booking for 2 persons under 5k. Management was good, with wifi smart tv and a nice view from the window as well. Clean bed with spacious bathroom with geyser. Good place to stay for couples who wants to stay in cheap.

We stayed at Ooty for 2 nights and the stay was splendid, the view from the hotel is really nice. The rooms were clean and all facilities were provided. During our stay Ashok at the hotel was really helpful with any requirements we had. Would definitely recommend👍🏿
