My family booked 2 rooms for 3 nights at Avenida and our stay was amazing. The resort is located right in the middle of a forest, so if you're looking for a peaceful getaway, the place is just right for you. The whole property is very beautiful and is built along steps rather than on plain ground, which adds to its aura. Their service is also top notch and the entire staff is very friendly and helpful. From breathtaking views and cute corners to aesthetically pleasing lighting and the rustic library with a fireplace, the entire place is a treat to the senses. The only shortcoming I found was the food options. The breakfast on Day 1 consisted of only South Indian food, which might not to be everyone's liking. We mentioned it to the manager who made sure paranthas and poha was served the next day. Still, the number of options seemed quite inadequate in comparison to the kind of variety that is served for room worth 9k+ per night. Even the dinner options were quite limited and quite expensive too. So food is one area which needs improvement.

The location was excellent. The roads were excellent. The stay at the deluxe room was good they provided three heaters including electric heater for bed sheet (bed warmer) even at this time of the year it was cold outside the food was excellent felt like home there were two lounges with beautiful furniture and bookshelf, so many books you can go through them. The coffee was excellent. They provided evening, snacks of french fries and bread pakoda and tea and coffee, which was excellent, the food was excellent. In the breakfast. You get lots of drink options in juices, yogurt, etc. You can see mountains there are a lot of flowers. Cons of the property. 1. The entry and exit to the property is through one gate so your cars get parked in a stack so to get your car you will have to ask other people to to take out their cars first.

This is my third stay within a year. I always look at coming to this place as it has beautiful views and the staff is very courteous. Breakfast and other meals can be better with more options. Look at adding some light music in the dining area. Suite room sofa upholstery needs a fresh look in the suite. Some lightning is required outside the hotel as it becomes pitch dark.

There are 10 cottages and each cottages have a diff view so ensure that you have picked the one with the view you prefer. Ours was towards the end so we were surrounded with trees. The valley view was visible from the dining area. The dining area where you can read books with a sunset in the background and have you food outside in candlelit area was perfect! the food and room service was excellent. The only complaint we have about is the internet connectivity, the wifi didn’t support video calls and therefore doing work calls was difficult.

Bob's place is well maintained property with individual cottages placed in lush green landscape. Good place to spend time with family and friends when you do not want travel for site seeing and chill for couple of days. Staff is helpful and food is good. It has a view of himalayan range but you need to be there at right season. This place must be exciting in winters also with snow. Look forward to visit in winters

The property was good. The location was good with amazing food and great service. People were very friendly and did there best to provide the best service for your stay. Would definitely like to visit again.

My wife and I, both in our mid 60’s, decided to finally shake off the COVID elephant and take a break for a few days after 2 years of being locked down in our house. After all, we WERE fully vaccinated, in good health and, fairly fit. We booked a 2-night stay (9th to 11th October) at Bob’s cottage, after speaking to the owner Anand (Bob) and, asking if he could recommend one of the better cottages. He assured me that the cottage we would be put up at was as good as any and we would not face any problem. Bob’s cottage is at Nathuakhan, a distance of around 330 km from Delhi, total driving time of nine hours (nine & a half with a mandatory loo & tea break). The cottage complex is along the main road, barricaded by steel doors, but can be missed as there is no distinct signage outside. There are a total of 10 cottages in the property, at 3 levels. The path or rather the stone-paved stairs has steps at varying heights which can be a bit disconcerting. We reached the property at 3.30 pm and were put up in a cottage at the 2nd level. There was no number on the door, but the tag attached to the key had a number 7 on it. The cottage smelt musty, it was shabby and in very poor shape. The handle of the cupboard was missing. The walls were dirty & broken close to the floor. The bathroom door not only did not have a latch and could not be kept shut as the door was unaligned (picture attached). The bathroom, barely functional, was bare and cold, with a broken tile lying in the shower area. There was a stiff plastic mat to step onto after the shower & then onto the tile floor with your wet feet (picture attached). I’m sure glad we didn’t come in the winter season! The 2 desultory sachets (actually plastic bottles) of the shampoo & moisturizer were 4 years old from the date of manufacture, with a best by date of 2 years after manufacture (picture attached). From the state of the room, I would say it had not been even aired in the last few years. The property, which is quite large, was unkempt, with weeds growing all over. In the two days, we were there I did not spot anyone even giving the slightest attention to the tending of the bushes (picture attached) We were very disappointed but tried to cheer ourselves with thoughts of a good dinner, as the food in all the places we have stayed in the mountains, though not very elaborate, has always been well cooked and has a very distinct freshness to it. Not this place. The best I can say is that it was EDIBLE. The dal was just boiled lentils, without any taste to it. There was a thin gravy with potatoes dipped (not cooked) in the gravy. A mixed vegetable, tasteless, but better than the lentils & the potato gravy. The sweet dish (sevai) was half-cooked sevai thrown into the milk, without simmering it, but I guess our simmering discontent balanced it. We had to manage as there was no other option. When we got back to the cottage after dinner, for hopefully a good rest after a long journey, we find that the thin curtains let in most of the lighting from outside, whether we drew them or not. The curtains were thin and flimsy. We slept in the moonlight (actually the lamplight from outside) The three windows in the room had a table, a chair and, a luggage rack backed against them, and the curtains reached right down to the floor. So, every time we wanted to draw or undraw them, we had to move the furniture away from the wall. The owner, when I had spoken to him before booking the place had touted a library and several board games that were available at the property. Not so. Not even scrabble. Oh, the torn box was there, with the board, but without the alphabet squares. Not only is the place run down and the owner couldn’t care less. Bob’s place is running on autopilot, a severely handicapped pilot and plummeting. It reminded me of my yoga teacher who keeps berating me that I have to do my yoga ‘mindfully’. This mindfulness was lacking. Surprising, considering the vintage of the property. I would strongly recommend giving this place a skip. Apart from the reasons mentioned above, the other points to consider are: 1. There is no place of interest close to this property. The closest place of interest is Mukhteshwar, which is an hour’s drive away from Nathuakhan. Mukhteshwar and Nathuakhan are almost the same distance & travel time from Delhi. 2. There are several good properties at Mukhteshwar, far better maintained and you can choose if you want to enjoy a secluded stay and / or explore a bit. You don’t have that choice at Bob’s place. 3. There are several good eateries in & around Mukhteshwar to tickle your palate. One would be hard put to find a place for a decent cup of coffee close to Bob’s place, which is probably why they can get away with dishing out the fare they do. Do keep in mind that a 10km distance in the hills is at least an hour or more away, along winding roads. So, it’s not the distance but the travel time you need to take into account when searching for a good café or eatery close by. Don’t miss out on the photographs of our stay at Bob’s place.

Away from hustle of city. Visit this place once for sure to get peace of mind and to do nothing.

The property is at a good location and views of valley are nice. Every room has a sit out area where one can simply relax and admire the scenery. The host is a wonderful person who takes care of each guest. The food quality is good and the staff take care to fulfill the wishes of the guests. The buffet spread is tasty but needs a little more variety. Overall this is a place where you can spend a week or even months.

Staying experience is extremely good, veiw of valley is really nice. Need some more variety in food and beverage, also need some A La Cart facility instead of buffet meal all time.
