The place was really beautiful and clean and the food was also good. The view from this property is phenomenal. Power supply was cut during night. We had to check out early so we asked to turn it on but they ignored and we had to take cold shower in freezing morning. Other than this power cut everything else was perfect.

Don't ever book for Zostal Nainital, at the most remote location it can be, no transportation provided from the bus stop, and further If you will reach there somehow, it's so remote, You won't be able to enjoy your trip and roam around view points or mall road. Its 14-15 km on the mountain, away from mall road.

Zostel is pure bliss! The place is so calm, with jaw-dropping views of hills and sunsets that just melt your stress away. The staff? Super friendly, especially Ravindra and Maharudra, who helped with everything—local tips, you name it, he’s got you covered. Last but definitely not the least, the food, every bite was packed with flavor, totally hit the spot. Loved it and can’t wait to go back!

The location of the hotel is quite terrible. You have to hike downhill just to reach the property, and then it’s a 45-minute trek if you want to go anywhere else. Overall, it was a horrible experience. Really disappointed with Zostel. Please check the location details carefully before booking this.

Zostel plus Nainital is an amazing choice for those looking for quiet & offbeat stay in Nainital. I can't think of any property having a better view of himalayan range! Overall, the place isn't far from the tourist places but coming & going to the main road is a 25min hike away. Going to Zostel from main road is a downhill path hence relatively easier to do. Coming up is a good cardio session. The very fact that it is 1km into the jungle makes it a perfect stay for someone looking to relax and enjoy the pin drop silence looking at the amazing view of Trishul and Nandadevi peaks. Don't come if you plan to visit the mall road area frequently. Many people come to the property without knowing about the 1km hike and then get disappointed. Please ignore such reviews posted online. The place is totally worth it if you're prepared to hike for 25mins. Parking is on the main road in the open. Zostel sends a staff to fetch your backpacks/luggage to and from the main road to the property. Food is a little overpriced. We paid approx 2500 for 4 people for a 1 night stay & we are light eaters.

The stay is very inconvenient and we were not aware of the property being so isolated and far away from Mall Road as it shows only 5-7 mins distance from the property. We were just stuck there with nothing to do.

There's a 500-600m Hike to the property..but believe me every step is worth. the location, accomodation, services, staff behaviour and especially FOOD, everything was AWESOME. Definitely worth every penny. I'd like to visit again. thankyou

Location of property was mesmerising, we need to walk for 20 min in forest to reach at hotel location and way to hotel and view from hotel are breathtaking. Food was like home cooked meal so we liked that so much. Property is ideal who love to stay at secluded places.

Property and location was superb

Food, amenities and room service was great. The location of the property was a bit difficult as around 1.5 km of trekking was required but the view from my room was breathtaking. Combined with services the experience was too good

Location was a bit offstream, had to trek for a kilometre downhill to reach the place. They provided parking as well as porter facility at the location where we started the trek from. Advisable to reach the property in the daylight since the trek passes through the forest and isn’t safe at night. A great and fun experience before reaching itself. Had dinner at the property which was satisfactory. Booked a room (not the dorm). Cleanliness was top notch. Seemed like a new property. Great ambience and was surely a worthy stay. Also, loved waking up to the sight of Himalayan view from the room.

It was a wonderful experience. I loved your aloo paratha and double-shot coffee, as well as the room with a mountain view. Highly Recommended only if you can trek 🤣

Well, its going to be a long one. I would rate the property good. The only reason why it wont be excellent for me will be the trek. So when you book the property, the only section they tell you about the trek is in the property details that too in the very end. Yes it is a scenic trek, but for those who love trekking (or fit for trekking. The property did call us to check if we are ok with a 1km trek to the property but didnt mention the level of difficulty. So this property is amazing, the food here is great, we had the fortune to meet two lovely kids (mountain dogs) gab-bar & casper, all of it if you are like a 6/10 or above in trekking. Because we cancel-led a whole day’s plan because we didnt wanted to take the trek going and coming back. And not to mention the time restriction. We had to be back by 5:30 pm post which the trek becomes nearly impossible. Also, the do provide a porter who is technically human hulk for your luggage.
