I’m sharing this review after going through one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had.
I had a fully confirmed reservation at this hotel through MakeMyTrip, booked well in advance. All details were in order — the dates, room type, and payment confirmation. But shockingly, when I arrived at the hotel after a long and tiring journey, the staff denied my stay, stating that the hotel was “sold out.”
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the staff then gave a completely unacceptable reason:
“We are getting a very low amount from MakeMyTrip for your booking, so we are not allowing you to stay.”
Yes — that was their actual explanation. Despite having a legitimate booking, they refused to honor it simply because they felt the payout from the travel platform was too low. This is not only unprofessional, it’s exploitative and dishonest. If you don’t want to accept bookings at a certain rate, then don’t list your rooms on that platform. But blaming the guest and denying service based on what you’re being paid is outrageous.
To make things even worse, they repeatedly told me to “contact MakeMyTrip for any resolution” and completely washed their hands of the situation. No apology. No attempt to help. No alternate arrangement offered. Just complete indifference and blame-shifting.
This isn’t just poor service. It’s predatory behavior. Overbooking and denying confirmed guests is already unacceptable. But refusing service because you don’t like the commission you agreed to is beyond unethical.
My advice to fellow travelers:
1. Do not trust this hotel, even if you have a confirmed reservation.
2. If you're booking through third-party platforms like MakeMyTrip, be extra cautious — hotels like this one may deny you if they feel your booking isn’t “profitable” enough.
3. Demand written confirmation and call ahead — and even then, don’t expect them to honor it.
This hotel has no concept of accountability, customer service, or basic hospitality. Avoid at all costs.
