My family had a horrible experience at this resort. There were many insects, flies, cockroaches and reptiles in the room. we had booked two rooms from May 27 to May 29, 2025. The geyser in one room was not working, frequent electricity cuts during night and the doors were in real bad shape. The worst part was the service. we returned from safari to the hotel at 9 pm and went to the in-house restaurant for dinner. The restaurant was fully occupied and we informed the manager about our food order. To our utter shock and disbelief, the manager told me it is not possible to serve us food as we should have called them and put order before 6 pm. This is so pathetic. We were only five people - me , my wife, 2 senior citizen parents (diabetic patients) and a 6 year kid.
we requested for only rice and dal. But the manager said it is not possible.
We searched if any other restaurant is open nearby. The nearest restaurant was 13 km away and was going to close at 10 pm.
we had no choice but to eat whatever little biscuits and snacks we had.
In my lifetime, I have not encountered such a bad shape experience. is this the kind of service provided to customers?
it was not that we turned up at 12 am and demanded food. How on earth can the manager and staff tell that they cannot prepare food for just 4 people?
Absolutely disgusting!!!
Grand Tiger Resort
Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback regarding your recent stay at Grand Tiger Resort. We’re truly sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations and that you left feeling dissatisfied.
We would like to take this opportunity to clarify a few concerns you raised—not as an excuse, but to offer some context:
1. Room Condition & Cleanliness:
Our resort is located in a forested region, and while we carry out regular pest control and housekeeping, occasional sightings of insects or reptiles—especially during the monsoon or warmer months—can occur due to the natural environment. We understand your discomfort and are reviewing our pest control measures accordingly.
2. Power Supply Interruptions:
Being in a remote area, power supply can sometimes be inconsistent despite having backup systems.
3. Dinner Service Concern:
As per our policy, guests without meal-inclusive plans are asked to confirm dinner in advance. Our staff approached you multiple times, and each time you mentioned dining outside. When plans changed late evening, the kitchen was closing, but I personally offered a quick meal, which was ultimately declined.
Warm regards,
Team Grand Tiger Resort
