Review Of Amour by the Lake | Rooms in a homestay

Hands down the best homestay in the whole udaipur. This was a short stay for us, but indeed the most comfortable one.

Our stay was pleasant at Amour by the lake. Rooms are spacious with beautiful view from the balconies. Breakfast was delicious with variety and good presentation.

Located adjacent to fateh sagar lake with a nice rooftop view of the lake, the property offers a peaceful stay not very far away from the prime udaipur locations. Host namita is really helpful and accommodating for the guests. Pros : peaceful location adjacent to lake. Hardly 20 min away from pichola and city palace. Great for families awesome breakfast served on rooftop. Cons : although all tourist locations are nearby, auto and cab availability is limited and expensive especially in peak season. Scooty from the property can be hired. They also help with local transport like cab / auto.

The host is very nice and she would go the extra mile to make sure that you are comfortable. We arrived at 12am and she still managed to check us in and feed us. She also allowed a late check out because we arrived so late as well. Had an amazing overall experience.

We had an amazing stay at amour by the lake. The property is only 2 minutes from the lake, and is beautiful with colorful and vibrant interiors, and a beautiful terrace. The host nilima and her team made sure that we received what we needed at any hour of the day and made our stay super comfortable and memorable. Will highly recommended this place.

Balcony is lake facing. Balcony gives beautiful view. Food was good and response from caretaker is proper. Property is new and good for group families couples also have kitchen facilities to cook

Tl;dr: no 2nd thought place to have one of the most amazing stays in udaipur. Completely recommended. We stayed here for 2 days. Probably one of the best homestay- work-cation i've visited, and one of the hidden jewel in udaipur. Everyone around this place was very helpful and caring, including the host and the caretaker(s) - readily available for service anytime, be it food related or stay related. You can sit back, relax and enjoy your freshly picked homegrown lemon's juice on the terrace overlooking fathesagar's papal soaking in some vitamin d. Rooms were big, clean, sanitized, brightly lit and homely. The same goes with the bathroom too. The linens were neat and clean. Hot water was available all the time. The living area was commonly shared with others and is beautiful with all the modern amenities with aesthetics of indo-western homes. I was able to access wifi at all the places inside the home, with decent speed, which is a plus. You also have board games, jenga and books to spend your leisure time. They do allow outside food. I liked the breakfast sandwiches cooked by the caretaker. The place is around 150m walking from devali side fathesagar's entry point, and you can reach the fathesagar's chowpatty in 10mins walking. All the major general shops are also within walking distance if required. They have private parking space too, enough to accommodate multiple vehicles. Driving to the place can be a bit tricky, so would recommend contacting the host before coming. They have multiple entrances on the property and big vehicles can use the alternate entry if required.
