Nestled in the heart of Wayanad’s lush rainforest, Pepper Trail Resort is the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and soak in every detail. From the moment you enter the estate, you’re transported into a world where nature, luxury, and heritage blend seamlessly. The treehouse accommodations are a dream—perched high above the ground, wrapped in greenery, and outfitted with modern comforts. Waking up to birdsong and sipping morning coffee on the balcony, surrounded by dense foliage, is an experience in itself. If you prefer a more grounded experience, the heritage bungalow offers old-world charm with contemporary elegance. What truly sets Pepper Trail apart is the peaceful seclusion it offers. It never feels crowded. Whether you’re taking a stroll through the plantation, kayaking in the little pond, or simply lounging in the library, there’s a sense of calm and care in every corner. The food is exceptional—locally sourced, lovingly prepared, and served with a warmth that reflects the hospitality of the staff. Every meal feels personal, like it’s been crafted just for you. Special mention to the staff, who strike the perfect balance between attentive and unobtrusive. They’re always around to help, yet give you ample space to enjoy the serenity of the place. In a world that’s constantly rushing, Pepper Trail offers a rare kind of pause. Whether you’re looking for romance, rest, or just reconnection—with yourself or someone else—this place is an absolute gem.
Stay close to nature
Abhishek Anand
The property was very well maintained. The rooms were beautiful. We stayed 1 night in mckenzie villa and the next night in plantation villa. Mckenzie villa is the oldest, 140 years now. Both the rooms were amazing. Glad we tried both the rooms. The hospitality is very good too. Everything is just a whatsapp text away. Food was okay. Breakfast has a fixed menu except one special south indian meal. Lunch and dinner too had a defined menu to choose from. There are cycling, fishing, walking tours, tea plantations tour and jeep drive tour. The jeep ride was the highlight and covered the entire property. The guide has knowledge of plantations and loves bird watching. If you are looking to stay in beautiful rooms close up to nature, this property won't disappoint.

The property is nestled away from any town or crowded place. It is within a tea and coffee plantation estate with lot of flora and fauna. 9 spacious and ample cabins with good distance and privacy between each other provide a more than comfortable stay with hygiene and clean amenities and very high quality infra. There are even 2 tree house which are on my list next. Best part is the dinning area and the swimming pool. The best part of this place are the courteous and always smiling staff. Very helpful and always there to support and assist. The activities are also plentiful. This place is a true nature lovers paradise with a very comfortable and almost luxurious stay. The cabins are old british/scotish houses.
Good but slightly overpriced and overrated

The property is very beautiful and the staff is very courteous. However I find the property to be slightly over priced and over rated. I booked during the Diwali weekend which could also have been a factor to the hiked up price. The food is available only on demand and the staff missed out to inform me about this which brought about a last minute confusion. Overall I found the food to be quite average. The rooms are large spacious set with colonial furniture and was very good. The nature drive with Kishore was also great.
Incredible getawa

We stayed in the pepper trail tree house and it was an incredible experience. We did not want to leave! the food was delicious, the service was amazing, and the plantation itself is a marvel. The open jeep ride with kishor is a must! he was so informative on all the nature we came across and it was so fun! we'll certainly be coming back again and reccomending it to all our friends!
different experience... dead silence... except shrilling sound of crickets
Prasanth S
It’s a plantation resort located inside coffee and tea plantation spread over 200 acres. Very silent area.. you can hear only shrilling sound of cricket ... If you need a silent and calm holidays detached from the entire busy schedule you can opt pepper trail resort.. it was a nice stay ... located near the highway...
