Ghangri Sherpa Luxury Homestay

The location and view from this homestay was fabulous. The caretaker Mr. Suraj was very helpful. He arranged all our needs. But if there were an in-house food facility it would have been more attractive.

The distance between main darjeeling and this home' stay is 18km far. So anyone traveling with their own car then only say there. Other wise you will pay more everywhere both money and time. Overall experience very bad. Very bad experience about the location. It is too far from darjeeling. So don't stay here if you are travel-ling with hired car. Otherwise you will pay more both money and time.

Rooms, bathrooms all were up to the mark, view from room was also very good. & the best part was the caretakers & their hospitality, they were really heart warming.

Nice location. Nice view at room

We were in north bengali for last 14 days and stayed at many hotel and homestay but this the best among them. The property is so clean and nicely maintained that you can not complain about it. The rooms are exactly the way they were picturized in the photos. Foods are really good and we all know the honesty of the people from uphill. The sherpaji and his wife took care of everything we requested for from room heater to hot water. In a single sentence the experience is awesome. You can chill at this place just a few kilometers away from conjusted darjeeling but easily access the downtown. It was an awesome experience staying at this homestay.

Ghangri homestay provided us a few days of pleasant stay with the warmth and hospitality of the ever-smiling host and hostess. They were quick to respond to any request we made. The rooms are large and well appointed, however it was disappointing that there were no cupboards. Also, despite the listed amenities, there was no wifi nor tv. A big plus point was the constant supply of hot water in the washroom; of course, when the electricity was there. The hosts were kind enough to present us with some much-appreciated vegetables from their organic garden at the time of checkout. Location-wise the homestay was very easy to find as it is right on the main road. For a few days stay it was worth the price we paid.

Sherpa ji and his wife is such a nice person, their warm hospitality pleased us a lot, everything was so perfect, specially food n cleanliness. If i go to visit charakpur again ill stay in the same homestay again.
