Orion Retreat | Jungle Huts

Stay was pleasant. Delux huts are nice. It's not luxurious but cozy. A nature loving person will definitely love this place. View from the rooms is great.Food was good too.

location good, amenities good & services bahut hi achha sab kuch but CCTV should be outside all the cottage there so that traveller feel safe around them because my experience is so horrific overall location was too good

there's no tv , or air purifier, and meals are expensive and also I was alone so I asked them to keep a portion for dinner they also denied the same, which is not ok. they are ready to waste food for their business. the towel they provided that is also dirty I asked them to change but they didn't. not worthy. not a single activity is there. even for a bonfire they r asking for money and barbecue charges r not included on that. in the room there is no mirror, only a small mirror is in the bathroom.

The stay was great, one of the best thing is that they also welcome local. The staff is polite and helpful. Free bird view and an awesome sunset can be viewed from the place.

Disappointing Stay at Orion Retreat Jungle Hut: I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Orion Retreat Jungle Hut near Darjeeling on 30.12.2024 for 3 nights but unfortunately, my experience was marred by subpar service and amenities. The behavior of the particular senior most service boy was unprofessional and inattentive. Despite repeated requests, our needs were not met promptly, and we were left feeling frustrated. The room service was abysmal. Orders were delayed, and the quality of food was not up to par. It seemed like the staff was not equipped to handle the demands of the guests. To make matters worse, many of the most essential amenities like Geyser etc. were not working. The lack of attention to detail and maintenance was apparent throughout the property. Given the beautiful location and potential of the retreat, it's disappointing to see such poor management and service. Until these issues are addressed, I would not recommend Orion Retreat Jungle Hut to fellow travelers. Would I return? Unlikely, unless significant improvements are made.

It was a wonderful experience. Kartik and Dipen made it like home. Rupam ensured that all needs were met.

Nice vibes outdoor, but cottages have bugs and insects everywhere. Room service not up to mark, didnt get a towel even after asking 4-5 times.

Not as good as it shows, and no bonefire has been burn, owner said its availibility in oct nov, if there is unavailibility in this month then it should be written that no bonefir in this month. I am highly disappointed about info. I have booked just because of bonefire otherwise i have booked another hotel

It was a family trip to orion retreat, the stay was very comfortable and cozy. In between the woods and away from the chaos, it is one of the best stays around sonada. The host was very hospitable and helpful. Highly recommended for your next trip.

Lovely experience

Good stay at the deluxe cottages, it was a heavenly experience. Amid-st the clouds and mist, our small little cozy hut surrounded with green mountains. Staffs are friendly.

We booked 2 premium cottages through mmt. Cottages are good amid-st serene natural beauty, lavish greenery and tranquil forest. The sound of rain, drenching the green was awesome. Just keep in mind, you have to move 150+150( up and down) stairs for your lunch and dinner.

Dirty room, uncleaned blanket with blood spot, water leaking in room, during rain floor filled with water. No complementary water given.

Place is nice. But their service is very bad. Specially the manager or whoever at the reception. They dont serve the food at the room except evening snacks. They dont bother if you are sick or weak or knee problem, you have to climb big steps of stairs to go to the dinning area at the top. Even in the rain. They dont care about special request & finally asked money to serve at the room. You go there to enjoy the nature & relax, not to do hard work. Nice place but had a bad experience. Wouldnt visit again that place.

We had stayed there for 2 days. They treated us like a family and arranged everything need to our stay and sight seeing, and the climate and atmosphere in sonada and the place where the resort was also awesome, especially rupam he was so helpful to arrange stuff and cabs to go around

We had an experience of real jungle huts here in sonada. Location is good in the deep jungle with well maintained place. You can take walks in the jungle down to the hill to some extent. Food and services are also good.
