I recently stayed at a resort in Akanta resort in Cherai Beach, and my overall experience was satisfactory though not exceptional. The property enjoys a very convenient location, with the beach just a short stroll away, which adds to its charm and atmosphere. The accommodation was comfortable and equipped with the essential amenities, but the upkeep and level of cleanliness left room for improvement. Service by the staff was courteous, although the response time, particularly in the restaurant, was occasionally slower than expected. The dining options offered a reasonable selection, but the flavor and presentation were fairly standard. The outdoor facilities, including the pool and common areas, provided a pleasant environment. First of all , Location is GOOD, it Vl be excellent, if it is on the other side of the road. Staffs are so helpful and friendly,so they deserves an EXCELLENT rate. Amenities are GOOD including pool , land scape and restaurant space. May I suggest to utilise their lakeside with more facilities including backwater boating and water leisure activities. Regular maintenance of rooms,including door locks,bulbs and TV connections are mandatory.so an AVERAGE rating is for dat side. Food menu should be improved in terms of more varieties and taste., unfortunately can give only AVERAGE Thumps up. Overall it’s a “GOOD “property .

1) The name of the hotel was different to what was on MakeMyTrip. This confused my arrival. 2) I was shocked to see medieval times lock and key in the hotel room. 3) Water leak in the common area is common for such seasons. However, it was concerning that there were no 'wet floor's sign boards for affected areas. 4) Mentioning an extra bed/mattress can be avoided by a hotel if hotel has no provision for extra bed and only mattress is available. 5) Car parking was done in a haphazard manner making it difficult to park. 6) Even though the booking details clearly mentioned that the room is for 3 adults, there was no milk powder in the room, the room only had one coffee mug. 7) The hand towels in this hotel are not white anymore. All dirty. 8) Tea and Coffee served at the hotel was the worst I had in Kerala.

Pool was dirty and not usable. Water in the bathroom was sea water. Ac remote battery, door lock, room lighting etc was poor.

We had a great time at Ananda Resort! It’s a beautiful property, well-maintained and surrounded by nature—perfect for a peaceful getaway. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the space and had plenty to do, which made the trip even more special. The service from the staff was truly outstanding—very warm, attentive, and always ready to help. Breakfast was à la carte instead of a buffet, but the quality and taste were excellent, with a good variety of options. One of the highlights of our stay was how the staff supported us during a medical emergency around 3 AM. A doctor was called immediately and arrived without delay, which was incredibly reassuring and speaks volumes about their commitment to guest well-being. Overall, a memorable experience and highly recommended for families looking for comfort, care, and calm

Location is good, but the rooms are completely different from the pictures. Very small and congested. They provide non ac room and made me pay 800 more to get the ac room in which ac was not working half of the day due to no electricity.

Pathetic resort.

The resort is not good at all. I booked premium heritage room and the ac didn't work there. I was later given deluxe room without any refund. Bathroom is so tiny a small kid also can't stand comfortably. There is no balcony available and all clothes are put to dry out in the common corridor. Food is pathetic and breakfast was worst. No proper service, food gets over and takes forever to refill. Taste of the food is also very bad. Pool is badly maintained. Overall there is nothing good to mention and prices are high. For the price paid it's way bad. Wardrobe is placed such that it hits the tv unit. Very disappointed and will not recommend to anyone, we will get much better resort for the price
