Zostel Plus Poombarai (Kodaikanal)

Loved my stay at Zostel Poombarai! Quiet offbeat location, perfect for solo travelers and those who want a peaceful break. Cozy stay, super friendly staff, and surprisingly amazing food — especially their ramen. Would definitely come back for the views, the vibe, and that comfort food!

I found this property through MakeMyTrip application. They stay was superb. I really liked the superior bedroom and the view from the balcony was breath taking. I got some of the best hyperlapse video from the balcony of the scenic view. The property managers were also very friendly (Dipankar and Vivek).

All are Awesome …… But meal is not good

if you are single or group of people just go for this.

hi, it was my first solo trip . . . Two days planned trip which extended upto 6days of stay at Zostel poombarai.... well maintained property..... Felt homely and safe.... Get to meet many new people and made frds.... Had a great tym... 😍 waiting to visit Again

Starting with dorm, cot was not fixed well, but it was clean and have all the facilities that we need.. toilet was neat with water heater, view was amazing. Looks wise property was amazing at both day and night. Food was okay but after the trip I got stomach issues and many with me at dorm said the same thing. There is no restaurant nearby too. Poomparai town is the only option but it's off-road so you won't think to go all the way there everytime. Campfire and trekking activities conducted here which was good. Overall nice property but just it needs some changes in food quality and management.

I will not recomend this to anyone.. it is too interior. 7km off road , if your going by car , definitely it will get damage. Family it's not safe , we should pay first there is no refund policy

Very very superb place to stay for couples and very good view of sunrise and sunset. Room is very clean. but Food only not good and price is very high. If you want to zostel best to take food from outside and the Front end Help girl name is Shivani she is very good girl o get details and very good person and friend for all guests.

This property is hands down the best zostel I have ever visited. It has the best of everything starting from it’s amazing location to luxurious rooms to great food and fabulous service! Anyone travelling to kodaikanal should definitely stay in this property!

The property is well maintained and the location is awesome. Worst part is food here. It's crazy expensive, very spicy and bot at all tasty. There are no food options near the property within 4 kms. They are taking advantage of this. Secondly a zostel cab costs 500 bucks just to travel to poombarai which is only 4kms away. They are making more money from food and commute than stay. Not recommended for longer stays, good vibes to visit for 2-3 days.

Amazing location with a great view. The host was very helpful and sweet. The cafe has some delicious food to offer. The voltage in the room was a little weak though. The lights kept flickering and the hot water came out of the shower for barely 3-4mins, I'm guessing the geyser is of a smaller size. These were the only downsides to the stay.

It’s one of the best zostel stays I have been to. The crew there is amazing. Kudos to Zayn Bhai from Viggy’s Cafe - he was helpful all the while and his recommendations were amazing as well! The zostel could have more games like snooker and all since it is in a secluded place. But overall it is definitely worth it - I dont think any place else can match Zostel Poombarai’s vibe
