Review Of The Sikhiri Cottages | Manas

Manas is a wonderful place for nature lovers. The sikhiri cottages are nestled in the midst of tall trees. The property boasts of having a great collection of different types of bamboos and orchids food is great over here, though there is a limited choice of menu but that is understandable as this is a remote area and limited resources are available. The behaviour of the staff is very good, all of them are eager to help. What i personally felt that a few improvements can be made in the cottages. It would be great if there are cupboards in the rooms. Room heaters can also be provided as it gets very cold at night during peak winter. Another minor addition can be made in case of blankets. If the blankets are provided with covers then they can be washed after every guest checks out. Otherwise it feels not so okay to use blankets that have been used by others. Apart from these minor issues we had a wonderful time in the cottages. They arranged for the jungle safaris. They also arranged a walk in the village around. The best time to visit manas is end february and first week of march when a lot of sightings are possible.

Ambiance was good but the food and room was not that good.............................................
