The Rainbow Castle

About the stay: Pros: 1. Home stay and it is a good option for family people who opt for cooking food themselves. 2. Near to public transport services like buses and local auto service. 3. Groceries, restaurants and Street food available nearby. Cons: 1. No proper response from Manager/owner after check-in. 2. After check-in: there is no hygiene observed, full of 🗑️ waste inside room and bedsheets were stinky. 3. Suspected 🐁 noise inside the kitchen during nights. 4. Very poor maintenance of bedsheets and sofa, will become upset! 5. Geyser is not up to expectations and needs a long waiting time for others to get a hot water bath.

Positives * 01. The owner and manager are very good and you can reach out to them in a phone call for any support 02. They have an extra mattress that really helped us. Drawbacks * 03. There is a hall and a room which has only 1 toilet. For a family it is taking 2-3 hours to get ready for sight seeing. We managed to make it but then we thought 2 separate rooms would had been a best choice ratger than this option 04. The heater in toilet is not heating to full efficiency. We were boiling water with kettle for every family member. This was frustrating 05. The key drawback is the room. No option for ventillation. All fixed glasses. They need to make atleast one fixed glass as a sliding. We people literally had headache. The air has to come from living room and for which you have to keep bedroom door open in night. We had a spoiled sleep for 3 nights having stayed in that room. My son vomitted. 06. The location is very far from key tourist location. Auto charges heavily. 07. There is no daily cleaning and bed spread changes. We need to call them and let them know 08. Room cupboards as in picture is horrible like an haunted house which needs renovation 09. No battery backup. When power gone on a morning, we couldn't take bath at all 10. No mosquito mesh in bathroom, lit of mosquitos. We bought mosquito machine to manage

that was nice room and facilities are good and the behaviour of the manager is also good he nice person his name louise 😊👍

Worst experience and worst behaviour/response of management. They have cancel-led just 2 hrs before check-in when i called. And no proper response when asked for a refund. It is a full payment. When asked firmly, the management started shouting at me. It's their mistake and still not ready to admit it. They should first learn how to speak with customers or any people in fact.

I along with my kids and mother reached ooty at around 4 pm only to find that there was no proper signboard for this place out. After searching for nearly 45 minutes, the manager says that it is named suhanvi resorts from outside. After getting in i was directed into a so called cottage at the end of a series of small buildings. It was not what i had booked, after confronting him, the manager says that there was a double booking for rainbow castle n that i had to adjust in that building till next morning. As it was late and i had kids n aged mother, i decided to stay in that building. It was an old one, not cleaned, everything inside was dirty. , used bedspreads, dirty toilet with no proper hot water facility. Even after complaining to the manager, he did not address the issue. Everything inside was very cold n blankets were torn n used. We compromised with everything there. Next day after 3 pm we were shifted to this rainbow castle which was behind this building. That is no way like a cottage, it is a single bhk old building, around this place was all infested with insects, garbage was not cleared n had old building which were quite scary. No drinking water provided. The kitchen inside was dumped with all old things like a store room, the place had a obnoxious stench. Definitely not worth 3500 per might. I would definitely bot recommend this place to anyone. Nothing is worth there. Terrible experience. If i didn't have my aged mother and small kids with me, i would have definitely confronted him and demanded a refund

It was a nice home stay and nice service we got only a little bit of improvement required to maintain neat and clean outside of our home stay. Thanks to louis for giving service nicely
