The location is the highlight and its truly a nature lovers paradise. The resort is located in one of the most serene places on earth and the resort crew coexists with the nature around which was wonderful to see. The views from kurishumala peak was breathtakingly awesome.

One of the worst experience with MMT. They are informing the non receipt of confirmation from hotel after my proactive check with them. They were not behaving responsibly till the last minute of the check in and even after the check in.

Very clean room and super friendly staff. Perfect place if you want to go hiking, because green view has its own guides and Tours. Located next to a couple of restaurants and the main street. It is not idyllic but the perfect place if you are just planning to sleep in the hotel and rather have some outdoor activities during the day. There is a rooftop terrace!

It took us around 3 hours to reach our hotel however we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Windermere Estate. It has been built in the midst of a plantation, boasts of serene surroundings and offered the perfect opportunity to relax. A stay here is sure to refresh your mind, body and soul, it sure did for us. Our room offered beautiful garden and hill views. After all, looking for a break from the busy city life, what else could we wish for. The spacious rooms and the wooden interiors further added to the touch. We also indulged in a lavish buffet every morning for breakfast. Sipping tea/coffee in the evenings at the Tea Shop is another relaxing activity to look out for. Overall, we had a very lavish stay at the Windermere Estate.

Location 8 km away from munnar town. The villa or cottage has to be shared by 3 families. that means you get only one room and bathroom. So calling it as villa is wrong. We paid, that worth a day. In same charges we could have got a decent hotel in munnar town.

We went there in evening around 5-6 on 28th May 2016 and the entire place was covered with a thick blanket of fog. However, later in the night we got to see a breathtaking view of couple of other resorts on the nearby hills glimmering in lights. But the highlight was an amazing view (once fog cleared) in morning around 8 am. It is a nice place, far from Munnar town, with a co-operative staff. Also, go around the tea plantations in the vicinity of this resort. We trekked down to a waterfall visible from the rear side of resort which later turned out to be actual waterfalls. Now about the room, we were a bit disappointed with the room (Deluxe) as it had no view. However, on the positive side, the view from resort was beautiful and probably better than any hotel in Munnar town. It was a clean room with good washroom area (quite spacious) and other basic facilities like toiletries, satellite TV and running hot water. Also, please take a note that you are required to order dinner by 6:30 pm. I had vegetarian food which was pretty decent. Same goes for breakfast. They also arrange campfire for an additional fee of INR 1000. Overall speaking, Monte Cristo is the place for you if you are looking for a place outside in remote location with great view. One can walk to the hotel from pluvial tea factory so don't bother yourself from the fact that you may not find the place on google maps. Further, only Tata users will get network in the place.

Room Location is good. You can get the feel of staying in Forest. And proper Kerala Style home maid food. I would say the service is nice. The only thing is reaching to the hotel is difficult. I would suggest if you are travelling you should reach to the place before sunset otherwise it is hard to find the place and no network other than Idea and BSNL.
