Lawrence Tungsten Resort - A Lake View property

Our experience at this hotel was nothing short of disastrous. We had booked a Premium Room with Balcony and Lake View, but what we got was a Deluxe Room — the cheapest category. When we questioned the staff, they were rude, unhelpful, and completely unresponsive. To start with, the room wasn’t ready until 4:30 PM, even though the official check-in time was 12 PM. After a long journey, this was the last thing we needed. The location is another major problem — reaching the hotel is extremely inconvenient. You can’t go up or down the Mall Road easily; the only way is to hire a cab every time, which is both time-consuming and expensive They promise lake-view rooms with balconies, but most rooms have no view and no balcony at all. Coming to the breakfast, it was a joke. They charged per day per person, but the buffet had only Maggi and bread — no tea available initially, and we had to wait 45 minutes just to get two cups. There was also no “high tea” as mentioned on their website. To top it all off, during checkout, they added for room service that we never even ordered. When we questioned this, the staff was again extremely rude and dismissive. Overall, this hotel is pathetic — they only care about extracting money from guests while offering zero service or hospitality. Strongly advise: Do not book this hotel. It’s a complete waste of time and money.

Our stay was extremely disappointing and far from what we expected. Although the rooms were decent, there was absolutely no internet connectivity. We had to change rooms three times, but the situation remained the same everywhere. The food quality was also poor — the kitchen was not fully operational, several menu items were unavailable, and whatever limited options we managed to order lacked proper taste and quality. To make matters worse, despite multiple reminders to prepare our bill in advance, the staff failed to do so. During checkout, we had to wait around 45–50 minutes as they struggled to generate the bill. The staff appeared untrained and unable to operate their own billing software, again citing internet issues as the reason. Because of this unnecessary delay, we had to rush to the airport and almost missed our flight from Delhi. Overall, it was a pathetic experience — not at all value for money. Poor service, untrained staff, and no basic amenities like working internet make this place highly unreliable. I would strongly advise others to avoid this property.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere… most friendly and helpful… clean, stylish, roomy… food was good and great value for money… room itself was well equipped and comfortable… I was very pleased with my stay.

Great Property with views of the Himalayas in the distance. Service is top notch. Food is awesome. Rooms are nice, and cosy with all amenities. I will surely recommend this property once you are in naintal.

Amazing view , lovely hospitality, food is delicious, hotel is located near to mall rod , the lake is visible from the rooms as well as open areas . Rooms are fantastic . Will surely visit again ,
