We had a terrible experience. The owner threatened us to pay an extra amount of 3k, locked us inside the property and shouted at us at 5 am in the morning and behaved very rudely. In the buffet they didn't give us enough food to eat and said we had closed the kitchen at 9:30 pm. This property is in the forest and we had no option except to pay money and leave. Kalyan cool stay is a bit far from all major tourist spots but it's a proper home stay with good ambiance. Rooms are clean and spacious, maintainance is very good and also the property is in between their farm so it's what you expect from chikkamagalur. When you go with your own car it's a good place to stay. Only issue is with food, they will charge too-much so we didn't opted for it. My children spent good time in pool and with their pets gunda (dog) and cat, atmosphere was good inn-the morning with peacock and other birds sounds. As it's a well maintained house my mother was also felt good. Breakfast 250rs per person and dinner 350. For a family of 5 wife husband and 2children with my mom for just dosa, idly and rice spending 1000rs felt too-much as it's our daily varities at my home. We had dinner at aldur 4km away which is just ok ok and deasent breakfast with neer dos a coconut chutney, idly and buns towards shringeri with in 15min drive from the stay near a falls.

It was a pleasant stay at the property. The owner is a friendly, considerate and empathic person. The food especially the local delicacies was excellent

Amazing place to stay in chikhmangaluru, the location is absolutely beautiful. Its within the coffee estate. Just not to mislead let me clear that the stay is not inside the villa but actually there is a separate cottage. The food quality and taste is too good. There lot of activities arranged like basketball court and badminton. The swimming pool is very well maintained. Only a bit of maintenance with the washroom would be required. And the hospitality from the owner was on priority.

5 stars for location, food, amenities and host. 4 stars for the room 3 stars for wifi network speed.

Amazing property. The hospitality by the owner mr girish was amazing and we are thankful to him for providing us the best of service and experience. It was an excellent stay and highly recommended.

The road to reach this property is easy by google map you can locate and property is beautiful surrounded by the coffee estate people are kind helping home cooked food 24/7 hot water and well maintained swimming pool

This homestay is located in the middle of the forest and very close to nature. It has good swimming pool, badminton court, basketball court. The host is super helpful. Overall great experience

Onion Pakoda - Rs250; Paneer Manchurian - Rs300; Dinner - Rs350 ( little decent varieties); Salad- Rs 50; B/F - Rs250 , we feel pricey but inside the coffee estate which is ~10 kms away from the village main area we are getting food, so it's ok 😀 We got one room with 2 double beds and 1 single bed for 4 persons with decent quality which is fine for Bachelors. A swimming pool also available here..If some expect little luxury they need to look for resorts not the homestay. Overall : We can spend around some good time with our friends inside the coffee estate

Had a wonderful stay at kalyan. The owner has taken care of food arrangements carefully and guided us through the other travel plans.

The stay was very comfortable and the owner was very helpful and accommodating, he arranged a bonfire for us and gave us the coffee farm tour. They have 2 cats and dogs. I will recommend other people to stay here.

Well expected a normal stay experience but turned out great! had very responsive host and services. The quality of food was too good and home cooked. Camp fire was arranged well and dont forget to exlpore the farm.

I had a short stay of 3 days at kalyan cool homestay and i had a pleasant and memorable stay at homestay. The property includes 35 acres of coffee plantation and the owner and his cottage are in the middle of this lush green plantation. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, it was a perfect outing for us coming from bangalore. The property includes a swimming pool, garden, badminton, and basketball play areas which are well maintained. The individual family cottages are also very well maintained, lit by natural lighting. Last, but not least, the owners mr girish and his family are very hospitable and welcoming. They attended to all our needs during the stay. I highly recommend his homestay if you are visiting chikmagalur.
