very odd location, not proper cleaning everyday and not provided towel everyday even after we asked. caretaker is not responsible and not coming after call also

Lazying at Landour

House of Life was a beautiful experience. Due to flight delay we arrived 11pm. The host was always available on call for our queries and the caretaker was there to welcome us! The flat consists of a small living room & a cozy bedroom. Both the rooms opened to a balcony with awesome view(dehradun at night was the best!) & two glass windows. Kitchen was small with all amenities..gas oven, fridge, microwave, utensils & even basic spices & tea & sugar!! If that is not your way, you can always ask Mr. Caretaker to bring you food(local stuff). The surrounding was scenic. Chardukan is walkable distance (provided you can walk uphill).What else would one need for a lovely lazy stress free holiday?

familyWe had an excellent stay at house of life. The view was stunning. The rooms were clean with all basic amenities present. Utkarsh, the host has been very responsive and helpful. He even fulfilled one of our wishes. Location is excellent- stone's throw from char dukaan. The cook arranged for dinner for our toddler. We highly recommend this place.

The place was much smaller than the photos portrayed. The manager was not available when we arrived. He pointed us to the wrong switch for the geyser. The place was not clean even though the manager claimed to have cleaned it. The balcony was completely inaccessible because a family of aggressive monkeys had called it home. Overall, completely unsuited for families.
