Upon discussing the matter with my legal counsel, i have been advised to document my experience and request immediate action to address the shortcomings. On [insert date, i booked a hotel via makemytrip, but upon reaching the location in the middle of the night, i discovered that the hotel was not present at the specified address. This occurred during heavy rain, leaving me stranded and vulnerable at a highly inconvenient time. I attempted to seek assistance from your customer care team, but while they made an effort to be helpful, they were unable to provide an adequate solution, forcing me to find alternative accommodations, which proved extremely difficult due to the time of night and the unavailability of early check-ins. I have been a loyal customer of makemytrip for a significant period of time and am surprised and disappointed by this oversight. Not only was i left in a precarious situation, but this also reflects a serious breach of trust. My lawyer has advised me that your platform has a responsibility to ensure that listings are accurate and verified, and in this instance, it is clear that due diligence was not exercised. As a result, i am requesting the following: 1. A full refund of the amount paid for the hotel booking. 2. Compensation for the undue inconvenience, distress, and hardship caused due to the unavailability of the listed hotel. 3. Reimbursement of the additional cab expenses i had to bear while trying to find an alternative accommodation late at night. I have been advised by my lawyer that, should this matter not be resolved satisfactorily, i have the right to pursue further legal recourse. However, i am confident that makemytrip, as a reputed brand, will take immediate action to rectify this situation and avoid further escalation. This hotel was really lousy, probably under maintenance and bad, sure, horrible. There is a water seepage, no proper maintenance they should be avoided.
