Basti - A Backpackers Hostel

Right at the heart of Santacruz and at one of the finest streets. People are friendly, and the facilities are reasonably good for the money. It could be A bit cleaner and without mold.

Overall it was A nice stay. Location is good. The rooms were not cleaned and properly maintained. Although, I paid security amount at the time of check-in. However, at the time of check out, they refuse to return that amount. As they were not maintained proper records at the property. Lastly, they did provide my security amount to me.

Basti is located in A very posh area of Mumbai and quite close by to the Airport. I stayed in the female's dorm which was quite comfortable. The Hostel is clean and well maintained. Kitchen has an induction and cooking utensils where guests can cook their own food. The staff is friendly and cooperative. Overall I had A pleasant stay.

The place is clean and has all the amenities I was looking for, but the staff didn't seem as welcoming as I would hope for. While the neighborhood is quite decent, there isn't much of interest for tourists (however, tuk-tuks are cheap if you can convince the drivers to use the meter). The best thing about this place, is that they let me check in very early since the room was available. Not all hotels would do that.

Location was great. I didn't have food from there so don't know.
