Backpacker Cowies, Mumbai

I recently stayed at Backpacker Cowies and had an absolutely great experience! The location is perfect — centrally situated and close to popular tourist spots, cafes, and public transport, which made exploring the city super convenient. The hostel has a warm and welcoming vibe with a vibrant common area where it’s easy to meet fellow travelers. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available to assist with recommendations or travel tips. The dorms and private rooms were clean, well-maintained, and had good air conditioning. Each bed had privacy curtains, charging points, and a reading light — small touches that made a big difference. The bathrooms were also clean and stocked with basic necessities. What I loved most was the social atmosphere — they had game nights and walking tours that really brought people together. Great place for solo travelers and groups alike! Would definitely recommend Backpacker Cowies to anyone looking for a fun, comfortable, and budget-friendly stay!

The stay was very good. The Backpacker Cowies, Mumbai staffs were so polite and friendly especially the receptionist they guided in every situation and the bathrooms were clean. It's in colaba causeway, the ideal place to stay from which every place is a 10 min walk distance. Very good experience. Would definitely stay here when I visit

Had an amazing stay at Backpacker Cowies, Colaba! 💯 Super clean rooms, cozy vibe, and friendly staff. The location is unbeatable—walking distance from Gateway of India and all the cool cafes around. Perfect place for solo travelers and backpackers to chill and meet people. Would def recommend and come back again! 🔥👏

The property is located in close proximity to Colaba Causeway. Major sites, markets and food outlets are within walking distance. The check in, check out process was smooth. Though a dorm, the place was quite clean and well maintained, the linen was crisp and clean. The staff at the reception were helpful.

Location is Great , Rooms are Good and Service is also good . One thing which concerned me was Their Green Hours Policy which basically doesn’t allow us to use AC between 11 Am to 6 Pm and AC remotes were not provided in the room which made it a bit difficult to setup the temperature based on our need

It was a wonderful stay there. The staffs were very cooperative and helpful. They even allowed me an early check-in n didnt have to wait. I was given a room with a private balcony attached, which was great. Overall, it was a great stay for me n would love to come again

room was very neat and clean, very good response from reception also, nice bed and washrooms, everything was good , it would be excellent if they reduce price, then no one can beat this hostel.

excellent location nice clean setup with bunk beds some rooms have attached washrooms so thats a plus good thing is that they have small pantry where you can make tea coffee and biscuits are kept
