Sree harshav cottages - Highfield (25 Kms from Ooty)

Some basic amenities like towels were not given in the room. It was not very clean and the breakfast, lunch, and dinner we had at the hotel were way too expensive. We ate chicken for dinner which costed us a huge amount.

The location of the hotel is really good and pleasant as the tea garden is nearby. The garden was beautiful and its Worth the cost. The people were very helpful during our stay.

No maintenance done from the beginning. Rooms are not clean. Kitchen was super dirty, no words to say about bathrooms. That much dirty. Clothes are having bad smell, we will feel that if get some kind of diseases in next morning. Only outside is maintaining with garden. So that people will attract by seeing that picture. In the same price you will good facility and good rooms in 3 star hotels. Please don't go with the rating of this hotel.

Don't expect the cottage to be entirely yours, you'll be sharing the cottage with 2 other groups plus the care takers, you'll be paying the amount just for the room. Zero complimentary they'll charge you for even a cup of tea and charge per head for breakfast. hot water we were a group of 4, intimated them more than a few times about unavailability of hot water, waited for more than a hour, only 2 of us could take a hot water bath. There was a major deviation in our plan due to the delay.

Was here on a Weekend trip. Booked the cottage seeing good reviews on company. Sort of disappointed though. In terms of the location and services, great. But if you are looking for a clean place to stay at, this isn't the one. We were however looked after by our host very well. A very sweet lady named Radhika took care of our stay and food. The cottage has a very pretty garden too and has beautiful tea estates surrounding.

Overall had a comfortable stay. Most of the time we spent on sight seeing and stayed very less time in the room, so can't explain much.
Please provide electric kettle in rooms.

Location is calm and close to nature, relaxing stay and experience.

The home stay location is excellent. The room provided to us don't have attach bathroom. There is no manager in the cottage. Room is OK. Basic facilities are missing. There was no power also. On top of that there was no water also. So can't take Bath also. Absolutely no maintenance. No ups. No generator. Food is also not available. There is no good thing you can talk about. MMT should not rate it 3 star and should refund back the money. Please don't stay in that homestay. MMT you have disappointed me.

The Manager, Staff and Cook were well mannered and very friendly ... The food they prepared are very hot and tasty. The Location of the cottage is surrounded with tea estates and well maintained lawn in front of the cottage. Our stay at the cottage was really a memorable one.

The cottage is located away from the hustle & bustle of the town, with a good view from the verandah. The room, although a little small, feels cozy, and is equipped with all necessary amenities. The drawing cum dining room is quite spacious, with comfortable furniture. The verandah is a good place to relax in the morning or evening, with a cup of coffee or tea and a newspaper/ book. The well-maintained lawn is a pleasure to the eyes and one can enjoy sitting & swinging on the swing that is fixed at a corner of the garden. The friendly manager and pleasant mannered Cook were very welcoming and the requested meals were very well prepared and tasty. All in all, our stay at the cottage was a memorable one, and any future visits to Coonoor will definitely find us making a beeline to the cottage for a longer stay.

This place is really lacking in dealing with customers. The way they speak to you is not professional. If you really a person who wants everything professional and polite. This is not the place. We had to leave early on some business issue so we handed the key and left the place saying we will not return. (This place do not have a good check in check out process) the next day I get a call from the house keeper and he is yelling like he is some prison warden or something. The experience is the worst.

For some reason I was given an alternative room very close to it. The room was nice and big, but service virtually did not exist. In the lobby outside the room, lot of people were allowed to sleep and we had babies crying the whole night. The location is very far away from the town and is in the middle of nowhere. Morning service began only after 9 am and the only breakfast promised to us was a couple of idlis. So for a cup of tea we had to walk down the road to a small shanty. The experience spoiled an otherwise good holiday.

Environment is very pleasant. All the facilities are available, specially food quality is very good. I recommend this cottage for comfortable stay. We wanted north Indian food, which they provide us. Tea is very tasty. Overall value for money.

Property is good but there are no hotel facilities available. Property is eleven km away from Coonoor city and not a single shop is in the vicinity. Room window has opening to the kitchen. No TV in the room and TV in the drawing room was not working. Has to wait one and half hour for a cup of tea. Only one attendant was who was not having any facility to entertain guests.
