The experience was genuinely disappointing. We had booked two rooms in a 2BHK homestay apartment so that our group could have the entire flat to ourselves. However, when we arrived, we discovered that one of the rooms in the apartment was already occupied. When we contacted the owner, he told us that the two rooms we had booked were actually in two different apartments. We were five girls traveling together and were not at all comfortable sharing an apartment with strangers.
After a long back and forth, the owner shifted guests around and eventually moved us to a different apartment. This entire ordeal took nearly three to four hours. We had to cancel our lunch reservation because of the delay. Our check in was supposed to be at 1:30 PM but we did not receive an apartment until around 4 or 4:30 PM. Our time was wasted, our plans were cancelled, and our entire schedule was disrupted.
The most frustrating part is that there was absolutely no mention in the listing that the rooms we booked would be in separate apartments. When we booked a custom package, it was clearly understood that the whole apartment would be allotted. We adjusted because we had no other choice
