Vivanta Mangalore Oldport Road -Formerly known as Taj Manjarun

We stayed for 2 days at Vivanta Old Port, Mangalore. The quality you expect from the Taj group is evident in the cleanliness and the high standards of the rooms. However, the room size is on the smaller side. Breakfast was good, with a wide variety of options to choose from. One thing that really stood out was the exceptional service — from the reception staff to housekeeping, everyone was warm, attentive, and professional. The only drawbacks were the relatively small room size and the location, which feels more like a local neighborhood rather than a premium area. Overall, a pleasant stay made memorable by the staff and the signature Taj hospitality. Rating: 4/5

One checks into a Taj (IHCL) property with certain expectations, and the Vivanta Mangalore Oldport Road -Formerly known as Taj Manjarun doesn't disappoint on that score. Check-in & check-out was courteous, efficient, and accommodative. Rooms are spacious, and well maintained. Requests were attended fairly promptly. Buffet breakfast spread was satisfactory, though we experienced some of the preparations (including tea & coffee) as being not warm/hot enough. Location of the property isn't very upmarket, but is convenient in terms of proximity to city's attractions.

The food was excellent! Had a lovely dinner and since we had an early morning checkout they prepped breakfast sandwiches for our journey back! The property is well located and one of the few nicer properties in Bangalore! Rooms were clean and well maintained! They even offered late checkout without us asking them and were very considerate!

Hotel location is near to airport and market and other attractions are close to vicinity. Hotel is neat and clean . Breakfast is perfect and have.variety . Staff is polite and attentive . Very clean and centrally located Vivanta Mangalore Oldport Road -Formerly known as Taj Manjarun. This is a bit older property. Overall good experience. Staff is very friendly and want to help and make your stay comfortable. We tried the local cuisine and it was really tasty and made well.

My husband and I had vsisted mangalore in July 2025 and our stay at Vivanta was excellent. I had a very bad headache before we checked in . Then I slept like a baby in the room . Breakfast buffet was awesome . Will definitely stay there when ever we visit mangalore

The property is smallish but comfortable. Amenities are also ok but not great. Location is a bit away and due to the name change to Vivanta (from Taj Manjarun) not many local people know it. Service was a but slow. Could have been better.

Everything is amazing . The food is good. Rooms are well lit with all the amenities. The staff is Very courteous soft spoken and friendly.

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at Vivanta Mangalore. Their hospitality is excellent and we keep going there every year.

Room 501 allotted had a great view. Excellent housekeeping support. In-house dining was super. Chef & Mynt staff too very courteous.
