Houseboat was not at dal lake, condition was poor, not maintained no hygiene, don't go for it.

The property was not maintained at all. Dust all around and no space for ventilation. Even the care taker doesn’t seem very interested in welcoming us

Sir this property is very bad. Owner in no manner. Room is not good. Bed is not clin. Bathroom is very darti. Sir i am not teak the photo. And i am not living in the hotel. I am teak new hotel. Shelter group of house boat not refund my payment

Booked this, called hotel multiple times, nobody responded at 9:30 in the evening i was stranded and had nowhere to go, never coming back.

Very economical, houseboat experience at reasonable price and basic facilities, location not at the prime houseboat area, staff is good and homely feel

We had booked this in advance but the location was so terrible that we did not stay there. I wasted the money worth 2 nights as it didn't even feel safe. The owner didn't help in any way and didn't even talk to us once. My father almost fell into the lake as it just had one wooden board from which one had to go to the houseboat. It was smelly and unhygienic to say the least.

It was value for money in that range for one night. I liked the way it is maintained. More over its location near Lalo chowk. I am business traveler and going to stay here next time also. Breakfast was also delicious.

Its one of the places in Srinagar for stay, Floating boat near to main city center, Easily can find. Wonderful boutique touch houseboats and food was amazing there. Host helped a lot to me for find cab and airport transfer. Highly recommend places for Srinagar

Its great place for stay near to city center and explore the real kashmir. The people was polite and helpful for arranging your Trip in Kashmir valley. I just booked 1 night and extend more 2 days. Food was pure home made

Please mention the location while searching houseboat. Shelter houseboat is at Jhelum river. Not at dal lake. Frequency of light cutting is very high. All houseboat includes shikara ride. But this Houseboat doesnt. They charged 250 extra for shikara

Excellent service from the entire staff. True homely experience. They planned the entire trip during our stay there and it was economical also. We had a pleasant and calm stay at the house boat. From the house boat one could enjoy the excellent view of the river which is possible because it is situated at a not so crowded area.

It was just like a home very neat and clean the owner and his staff were very courteous and helpful. A very reasonable price of the hotel that we can't imagine. It's location is very nice almost in the heart of the city. I along with my family members really enjoyed a lot. Actually we had no time so we were bound to check out as per she due. My members requested to overstay here due to wonderful hospitality.

I traveled for Srinagar 2 night stay and booked Shelter Houseboats for 1 night, after looking the services, room quality and proper heating arrangement, I extend 1 more night for heating electric blanket and fire stove was available which I paid extra as per usage. The food was 100 percent home made as per my choices. The location is excellent near to main town Lal chowk just 3 minutes walking distance and try to get river facing room which has outstanding view. As it was winter the cable TV not worked properly and free WiFi is available.

A well decorated double bedded, 2 room set with a drawing room having TV and WiFi. Living in a houseboat was a pleasant experience, different from concrete hotels. It was a comfortable stay. The boat house is close to Lal Bagh market, almost walkable distance, and the owners are very nice people who provide home like food.

Good experience with stay in Shelter Group of Houseboats. Value for money. Good and recommended for affordable stay. Fantastic view of Dal Lake. Good facility to warm up from extreme cold weather. Clean, neat and tidy with all required facilities.

Please inform people that the boat house is fixed to a location and does not move around like in allleppey Kerla.
