Neat and clean hotel

Room was neat And clean the room was good in space the staff in hotel was supportive although the hotel was near to m g road main shopping centre at Gangtok. You can reach by walking but old age persons have to hire taxi which are of nominal charges.

Excellent value for money, good location near the palace gates, good home cooked food. Nice family run place. Insist on a mountain view room. Added bonus is the Culture cafe downstairs that dishes out lovely tibetan basics like momos, chow mien, chicken soups.

Kanchendzonga view from Room No. 5 is mind blowing

We stayed there for 3N. On two days the sky was clear and we could sit in our bed and see the peak and sun rise over it. The decor is nice and very much in tradition with Sikkim and Buddhist religion, food - OK, connectivity (shortcut to MG Marg takes 10 min and lots of stairs to climb down) - reserve taxi takes 100 INR from MG Marg and no share taxi available, Service - prompt and helpful. The hotel is occupied mostly by westerners as I met people from Israel, Malta, France etc. I will again like to stay here for the view - I didn't book the room 5 (which is Double Deluxe Mountain View room from - I negotiated with Hotel owner and upgraded my room.
