Hotel Bayul Gangtok

I had booked the room for my friend and his family, but it was the biggest embarrassment for me as the room was very dirty, the bathroom geyser in poor condition in fact very risky. I couldn't cancel as it was too late when my friends checked in but yes the only comforting factor is the location. Please please just improve on the cleanliness.

The room was bad, understaffed. Pillow and bed-sheets and bed covers had stain and hair over it which even despite request was not changed. Food you should forget. They literally take away the plates while you are eating. My dinner was a complete waste of money and don't fall for complementary breakfast. At 8. 30 they informed that the only thing they can give in half an hour is bread and butter because everything else would take time. We got delayed for our trip because of the careless attitude of the staff. Total waste of money and a put off. Don't be taken in by the location, there are many more hotels in mg marg.

Rooms are ill managed. Management seems to be owners by lease and least bothered to maintain the age old hotel. Front desk personnel had no customer service skills. Room was dirty, quilts and linen were old and dirty. Only 1 service girl and 1 counter guy in the restaurant. Service was slow. The only usp is the location.

floor is very bad 👎 not cleaned

While checking-in, i was sent to the other hotel karsonam instead and i was told that its the same property and my booking was a little confusion. As per the booking, breakfast was complimentary but i didnt get any. The hotel room where i stayed was badly managed; bedsheets n pillow covers were not changed n were very dirty. They smell and it's so unhygienic. I wont recommend for anyone to stay there. Seriously, it's a matter of concerns n it needs to be addressed. It's really an unexpected as i thought. It's eww
