I travelled to Gangtok with my family this January and had booked Hotel Sonam Delek - my experience with my stay here was outstanding. Apart from the perks of the hotel being at a walking distance from MG Market, what Sonam Delek stands out for is the stunning views it offers of the mighty Kanchenjunga peaks from its balcony. If you’re relaxing and want to idle away looking at the mighty peaks, this is where you’d want to stay. I am definitely coming back.

The hotel sonali delek is a very good property to stay with family and friends. The rooms are well furnished with an attached balcony from where the kanchenjungha view is just amazing. One can sit in the balcony chair and enjoy the tea with the kanchanjungha view. You can go to the mg market by walk in 5-10 mins and also get the cabs easily. The hotel also offers indian and chinese food starting from breakfast to dinner. You do not need to go outside for good food. The hotel staffs are too polite and humble and always ready to help guests. They will also help you to get the cab service for your tour.

Hospitality, fooding, lodging, house keeping and above all courtesy of the staff are excellent in son-am delek.

It's the hotel to stay with family. Staff are extremely helpful and cooperative. View and amenities in the hotel are very good. Food is fabulous. We had all our meals in the hotel. Suraj and housekeeping staffs were amazing to get acquainted with. So humble and helpful. Will visit again.

Prime location, good view supportive staff good food quality

Standard room are not couple friendly. Deluxe room are expensive. Room was spacious. Bathroom was average. Breakfast was excellent.

I booked the hotel based on review and the view of Gangtok from the balcony and a special mention of the view of Kanchenjunga too.

The staff were cordial and extended all possible help to us during our stay at the hotel. The room was neat and tidy. The housekeeping staff meticulously cleaned the room every day. However, the lunch was not upto the mark.

It was 3 night and 4 days stay in the hotel. Had a wonderful stay. Loved the moon light dinner in the courtyard of the hotel while seeing the Gangtok City by night. Food was good. Though, it was our 2nd visit to Gangtok, this Hotel was an obvious choice for us as we stayed here 12 years back when he visited here.

Good Hotel with very good staff and service

The location of hotel is good, but the main drawback with the Hotel is staff and service. The restaurant close at 9 pm, so if you want food, you need to order by latest 9 pm. The hotel staff is not at all professional, only one guy at reception and couple of waiters were nice, rest all staff ware extremely rude. The rooms were above average, so if you are coming with family, not a good choice to stay.
